is it possible to run bot with Parallels Desktop? I really want to start botting again but i can't on my mac :(
Is there any other opportunities?

Regards

I have an iMac and a MacBook Air, I used Bootcamp to partition the hard drive on my iMac so about 750gb is Mac and 250g is used for Windows, it works fine and you can just restart the computer to switch between the two (However I find myself on my PC 24/7 lol)

Well I have parallels set up, but I prefer Boot Camp, I believe all macs come with it, search for it and see what you get...there are more than likely tutorials online as well, my friend did mine for me so I would be no help to you with setting it up.

As far as I know you should *not* be able to use Parallels.
Parallels uses a separate VM for every Windows application you start. It's a security feature that protects one application from being influenced by another. That means HB will never be able to attach to WoW since WoW will be running in a different, protected, memory space.

I have a bootcamp partition on my mac with Windows 7, and i use VMWare Fusion to run the bootcamp partition as a normal virtual machine. WoW runs very smooth and works perfectly for my botting :)

yea i use VMware fusion as well. its nice because i can open boot camp while booted into mac osx. Does wonders, open vmware fusion, open your bootcamp partition (basically runs as a vm), start wow, start your bot, minimize.

Hey Darksnake,

I have a Mac Pro running snow leopard and I normally boot up two Parallel Desktops each running windows xp that I use to run my bots. I've never had any compatibility issues or anything. I can also run the Bootcamp Partition of windows 7 I have installed through PD (But I don't because its crazy slow, I'll just reboot if i need Windows 7)

Turbo: how is the graphics in wow working for you in parallels desktop? In vmware i get strange looking 3d models. Not really a problem, though. Working just perfectly for me. But if parallels don't have that error, i wouldn't mind switching :)

I have a question - is it possible to run WoW in a VMware Virtual Machine under Windows 7 host and not Mac OS X ? Will it work fine ? I find it difficult to do regular work with the WoW window staying open all the time, the need to check out on my bot all the time is too strong.

If your going to bot on a mac. I would suggest using windows xp sp3. Most stable VM OS that i've ever used. And it dosnt take up many resource's when you set everything to run for performance. So you can run multi bot's if you want.

Tho I've only tested it on a friends old mac from like 2008. So...

Nope. VMware virtual machines use their own graphics drivers which are unable to run WoW. You can't force the VM to use drivers for your physical card. Your best option is to get something like a cube desktop and run your bot/wow on another desktop face to where you work.
