RIP Steve Jobs 1955 - 2011

Its funny how he got kicked from apple, and then started a new bisnuess and then apple bought it and he got a job again.. Ive been reading his story about his life, its pretty intressting.. He have been told before that he will die in a few weeks but then he could fix it for a couple of years. Steve jobs did what Bill gates could not.

One of the few men that actually ran their company and not let the board do everything.

RIP Jobs.

heres the thing, without one, computing would be wildly different then it is now. you have to remember steve jobs looked at what xerox did, with the GUI and the mouse and started making what we know as the desktop experience, (desktop with icons and menus) and without apple pushing the Macintosh, whos to say what Microsoft would of done instead of developing windows to complete with it. it definately would of put off personal computing as we know it, by decades.

ether way, my heart goes out to the people who knew him, its a hard thing to deal with because he was so connected with apple and with the products that i cant help, but look at an iphone and think of steve jobs, and its almost like the entire tech industry is crying out because never before has a person that we never met felt close enough that his death is felt. (in my generation anyway)

It really is a very interesting story, and quite frankly, one that any person intersted in the history of computing should research. Quite arguably, without Steve Jobs much of what we have today may never have been possible. I am sure most here are not old enough to remember things like the Apple II but if you are and you can gather those memories and sum up that moment ....... all you can say is wow.....

but i thought it was nice that our president at least acknowledged the fact that he has passed, and its a really nice read.

Thats what you get for not releaseing the iphone 5! no but seriously computing would not be the same without him, RIP.

It is weird to look around my house and see how many of his products that we own.
Off the top of my head I can think of 3 iPhones, an iPad2, a MacbookPro, 2 iTouches, an iPod Nano, and an oldschool iPod.

He will be missed.

Im not sure there is anyone on the planet that commands more respect, even those who are not fans of apple devices can respect just how much he has had an impact on society

Just another person dying. Happens all the time. Nice contributions to the technology boom of the past century while he was around though.

Steve Jobs was an icon for me, in the way he was presenting Apples products. I have actually learned a lot from him by watching keynotes.

There were 3 Apples that changed man's history.
1st one seduced Eve,
2nd fell on Newton,
3rd was offered to world by Jobs.

R.I.P Steve
