Returning with CR and current HB status questions

Ok, so I apologize if some of this is written somewhere and I have not seen it, but I have a few questions. I am returning from about a year or so break and it seems a lot has changed. I will list my questions/concerns below. Any and all help is appreciated, thank you!

1) I heard that HB had a huge ban wave for CR users. I then saw a post where someone said that there was a "Legion Buddy" that was coming out that would be safer for those that solely use HB for CR purposes. I however don't see much talk about this anymore and I am slightly confused if what I am saying is correct. If so, is there an eta for that product?

2) How are the CRs? Are they still as good as they used to be? Are they even safe to use anymore? I used to use many of the CRs this community provided to reach 2k+ arena rating on many toons, and if I return to wow I would like to do so again. And if they are good, what CRs are preforming the best? I don't remember all the ones I had, but I know there were some really powerful rogue and dk CRs for a while. I guess my point is, if I have a fair amount of experience on all classes, what CRs are preforming the best because I may roll that class for that reason.

Again, I apologize if some of this has been answered already, but I always enjoy hearing fresh opinions/news.

Yeah, Legion Buddy should be much safer since it doesn't inject into memory. For CR's in general, it seems that blizzard is starting to get more and more strict and banning more often. And player reports ofc. But that's just for CR's in honorbuddy, Legionbuddy will test them really.
Currently, the CR's are being rewritten by their creators, to be ready for the Legion Buddy. ETA of LegionBuddy is unknown, but the bot is getting prepared, don't worry.
CR's in honorbuddy(currently) are those that make the most risky to use, so if you want a bot to use them, you should wait for the release of Legionbuddy. Also you will have to rebuy CR's from the store again when they get finished, old ones won't work with Legionbuddy.
That's all i know, somebody will probably fill out what's missing.

I don't mean to hijack a thread. Most of my questions are answered by Heybale's post alone. I'd just like to ask if this "Legionbuddy" will be a completely separate buddy bot from honorbuddy and if so will users have to pay for it as well?
