Returning to wow, anything changed?

Hey there guys,
I am returning to wow after about a 9month break, My friends and I had nearly all of our accounts suspended for 6months in May last year.
One of my mates said Blizz have figured out a way to easily tell if your botting now and it is not safe, is this true? Or is it still the same as it has always been as far as risk is concerned?
He also said there is an option to not inject HB into WoW to make it less likely to get caught can anyone shed some light on this for me please?
