Gentlemen, I am active US military and have been botting for a few years with great success in the beginning. I was always smart and used proper plugins and never did the 24/7 thing. I have read a lot of ban threads where everyone insists your doing it " wrong " and its all your fault. With the exception of public profiles, I did my homework and botted smartly.
I have leveled numerous toons to max level in cata and briefly in Mop all using Kicks leveling profile SVN.
I have earned well over 8 Mil gold from ore and herbalism alone in cata usually with zubaros or similar gathering profiles.

I geared well over 15 toons randomly from honor gear in BG's.

My question (and or observation to the community is) where do we go from here?

I have had 7 different accounts banned (not all IP tagged due to me moving about and such)

I had well over a year between what I thought was a massive ban wave and or last name/cc/ip tag and went back at it within one day was perma-banned again.
I had recently returned from deployment and BAM! not even 2 hours into running a herbalism profile ducks double zone 2.3 (been awhile since I used) it was perma banned.

Is HB detectable?

is it time to only use private profiles? ( I know a lot will say duh) but with the great success I had its hard to argue

I know a lot of people will also reply saying no issue I bot 24/7 lalalalala that's great so share what your doing different or give some insight as to whats really going on

@Rkponyman, you should appeal hard, explain you are military etc, and just been deployed to another country/continent, so changed login scheme, and ofc , you never used third-party, and will never do, but just farm for chill-out, since your work is so stressing!

In 99% of the cases, blizzard representatives do not withness the botting behaviour, but you just get autoflagged and banned, so they will never be sure if you botted or not.

Is HB detectable?

there's some speculation that bliz is testing LCP detection methods with gathering profiles, which is how you got flagged so quickly.
but, LCP would also flag questing and a lot of other activities because it's reliant on consistent navigation, consistent routes, and consistent activities, all handled by the navmesh and nav system.

there should/could/would be more bans if LCP is the bogeyman it is claimed to be.

even though GB2 often "jumps" nodes in a list, it will more often pick the same exacting path, which is why people worry about LCP, and how GB2 is being picked up so fast.

the cautious approach is to use lots of crazy modifiers (randombuddy) in the routes, so you're skipping a few nodes, or backtracking, jinking, and otherwise detouring from a linear approach. or doing things like fishing, pet battles, random detours, killing random critters and skipping nodes that are near mobs, etc.

there's a few plugins like blacklist and randombuddy which alter nodes and re-order profiles while in use,
and later, bots like farmerjoe's (a GB2 alternative, idk when that's coming out) or gatherbro, that farm clusters of nodes instead of a zone-wide orbital/waypoint path, etc.

Thousand and thousand of people have probably already used this profile and the pathing must be well known.
I used this profile myself back in late 2012.
