RetBot Alternative

Hello! I am a new dev working on my first plugin. I am trying to build a RetBot alternative because I see it is no longer supported, but cannot seem to be able to figure out how it reads the words from the retainer menu to tell the name of your retainer or the venture complete string. anyone have any suggestions on this one?

please let me know if I need to provide any additonal detail.
