Restarted computer and now the bot wont start.

When im trying to start the bot an error comes up that says "The type initializer for 'System.Windows.Media.FontFamily' threw an exception"

Any help would make me ever so grateful
 
What specifik update am i looking for? im quite paranoid to download them all because of pirated windows.
I downloaded the microsoft visual studio update but it still wont work.
 
Hb creates a log or something?

if not upload a screenshot of the error

then post elsewhere.

OP: do you have both SP1 patches for studio and .net 3.5?
also check for any funky special characters in the fonts directory path, especially on non-english systems.
you may also need to check the registry for any corruptions in the fonts path. just make sure you make backups if you change anything..or HB won't be the only thing that's not working

if you get the correct pirated windows 7, it won't say you're on a pirated version :)

yes, but it still occasionally breaks if you install a certain windows update
of course, you can then roll it back and repatch..but that's just hassle :P
 
I don't have a pirated copy of Windows but mine did the same thing throwing that error. All I did was just do a clean copy of honorbuddy and it worked again. I don't know if you tried that at all.
 
I did try downloading and using a fresh HB but it still gave me the same error. so now im downloading the .net 3.5 and .net 4.0 patches for windows 7. don't really know if they will help since they said "security update".
Could you tell me more precisely how to get in to the registry?, or is it the same place as going to C:/Windows/Fonts ?
 
The .net patches didnt work either, still got the same error.
 
catch me on Live Support but if your net framework is broken i am afraid that i cant do much
