[Request] Heroic Farming

Now before I get a whole bunch of "BLAH BLAH BLAH... too complicated... DERP DERP" I would just like to point out I only want Honorbuddy to farm stuff (Hyacinth Macaws) and then queue as dps. This would be similar to botting in BGs.

However, I don't want the bot to do anything while in the heroic. Bots look like bots. If the bot starts trying to run through then you will most likely be reported. Sitting AFK and collecting marks until your random dungeon cooldown goes down and they boot you would be good enough.

So in Summary this is what I want:
1.) A Mixed Heroic profile.
2.) The bot will farm using your profile and mesh whilst queuing for a random heroic.
3.) The bot will sit you AFK to the entrance of the heroic
4.) The bot should probably be able to tell how far the other party members are/ whether or not they can see the bot. If they can't see the bot have it possibly jump once to avoid being AFK and then to get as many marks as possible before getting booted.

Things to Know: Will only work if queued as dps, No one reports someone for being AFK seeing as it happens all the time, and in most heroics at least one emblem will be dropped before you are booted. In some cases and depending on the group 3 will drop.

i doubt they would actually go to the boss, they would probably sit the timer out, which ive known to happen alot
 
even then you are only out 15 minutes. And every group I've been in if someone was AFK at the beginning we got going because we wanted quick badges

Not really.. Gathering herbs/ore only effects prices of ingame items.. It doesn't waste a players time (most the time since ore/herbs are so cheap on the AH it actually SAVES players time to just buy it cuz its so cheap) I must say this is a very annoying idea and very rude to other players in game.. Also it could be done with an Auto-It script really easy... But whatever if you wanna be the asshole wasting 4 other peoples time its your call.
 
Personally I believe we only need a auto Queue and entering feature for the bot, because most CCs have the ability to run heroics already as long as they heal. My druid is in full t9 just by afk botting heroics.

you could out mine a bot pretty easily, this is just wasting people's time that are trying to get heroics done
 
I'm not quite sure how this is more annoying than being in a BG and losing because you have a few people running around in circles botting or when you are mining and some botter keeps taking your nodes. No matter what botting is leeching. Morality is not the discussion here
 
Not saying I am outraged or anything just that I see a difference and if I could I wouldn't make it myself. Good luck though.
 
If someone DC's or goes AFK I tell everyone not to kick for 5 minutes, because DC's happen and no one is ALWAYS at the comp, afterwards we vote kick. I'm sure it'll work in part but until it is tested I can't say how badly.

how do we get it to bot instances to heal?

bots in heroics = bad. its wasting time for other players which is extremely annoying and may lead to ppl sending you messages (especially on same realm). flying around gathering isn't too bad bc ppl can just go where you aren't. the heroic bots are right there and you're handicapping the heroic, which personally would piss me off royally.

good idea, but i personally wouldn't attempt to make a profile like this b/c i personally think its bad conduct as a whole. Bg botting isn't too bad bc hell, its a bg. but dungeons, no.

BUT if you are tank/dps and you have a bot that is dps/heals that you could watch after, then thats a different story. :)

this isn't for flames, just my personal opinion
 
I like the idea of botting heroics, but being afk is just stupid imo. Why not have it follow the leader and assist in combat? I know you say that it'll look bottish, but I'd say you're wrong. If it moves up to the targets and does dmg, or shoots from range it'll be fine. No one would suspect a bot in HC I guess, they'd just think you're a noob. Second, there's a quite big chance that the bot would finish 90% of all heroics then.
 
Only issue is having the bot find the group when the instance has already started. Locating players within the instance might be a challenge if they are already half way in. This could pose the "stuck" problem is there is to many obstacles in the instance. Meshing the whole instance would be required and HB would have to look for party players locations to pick the best route. Or what if they are on a section that isn't in the route of the mesh? There are a thousands things that could go wrong, or go right.
