[request] gathering profiles

I'm really a noob and an awful programmer, so, if possible, would anyone be kind enough to share gathering profiles? I mean, I am leveling up my first char and noticed that I picked up the wrong profession, so I'm coming back for it, with a higher level, but it would be nice to ignore the mobs and go for the nodes.

You could try running a profile with no targets inside of it. All that is between <Mobs> and </Mobs>
Then just have hotspots near all the spots where you usually find nodes and have a good mesh to go from one to another.
