Thank you for your opinion Tiebiex. If you are willing to pay so much for a Botbase like this, go for it. Just because the dev fixed everything in the beta within hours doesn´t mean it is ok to demand about 25€ for the premium version. I would love to see the sales on GarrisonButler, then you will see how delusional your thinking is. How much time did the dev spent on this? I doubt he began developing this before the release of WoD. So the maximium timeframe for developing this is 4-6 weeks. And i doubt these are full-time. I´m sure there are people who think the same, and regarding to new Botters which already paid for the HB License, a free Garrison-Bot is only fair - and that´s the reason i posted this Request.
Hi,
I have no idea about the other bots and their devs, but I can speak about garrisonButler.
Firstly, yeas it does have a free version, the beta is still on the SVN, the access is free and you can even reuse the code for personnal purposes although no commercial one.
You're right, I didn't start coding before WoD releases, you're also right I didn't spend full time on it.
But you're wrong in general. During the first part of gab development I spent an average of 2hours of sleep per day, 6hiurs of work + university and 90% of the rest was dedicated to GaB, either support or pure dev.
It was fun but not human and I was unable to keep going for long. That's when I decided to quit one of my job and set a price tag on GaB.
Now if you think hundred of hours are not worth 8€, use the free version, you have the right to fix the code just not the right to release it. And everything is as generic as possible, there's is comments everywhere and in English which is specifically for YOU, otherwise they would be in French. What more can I do? :/
