How difficult would it be to put in a Pause function, so instead of Starting / Stopping we could merely hit the Pause button, which would pause DB til we hit it again?

Just wondering....

I think its kinda hard to express demonbuddys + plugin state so that it can be easily recoverable at a later point in time, seems like a lot of work for very little payoff since pausing the bot is not a very common use case.

It would have a ton of use for profile developers.

well, just because it wouldn't be of common use to you, doesn't mean it wouldn't be of common use. but thanks for your input though, i was just wondering the difficulty level involved.

Yes, Good idea.. I could use that Pause button a lot :)

Also missing a pause button in DB. Also a reset button (for the GPH/DPH Stats)

ive been requesting this feature along time ... and a few others ahead of me...
we must make more post count atlease to be heard..

Could you explain it a bit in technical terms, for example;

Does it just need to make the bot stand still while you <do things (what things?)>

Does it need to give access/enable DemonBuddy functions that are not normally available while the bot is running? (which things)?

I'm NOT asking these to be pedantic or shoot the idea down (I can see how that could be the impression) - but instead to see if I can work something into Trinity that does it :)

Im guessing (based on my own needs) thats its for when we see a legendary drop and cant wait till the profile is over to see stats :)

So a pause button to quickly identify an item, then let it move on.

my idea was this, be able to press pause, the bot STOP from doing anything,
now when running a profile, and when i press pause, i can see in the DB window BELOW a "GOTO" coordinate, eg: x=123.456 y=789.012 z=345.678,
so when i press pause, i can see the next coordinate, i can able to debug which are stuck points, etc.
i can also press PAUSE to IDENTIFY yellow items, switch gears, adjust coordinate of a waypoint, or whatever things i may need todo as a human with my toon...
but thats just for me, i dont know about with others...

I would like it if there was a button or key to hit that would pause the bot right where you were at (checkpoint wise) so I could port to town, ID certain items, check stash. Then port exactly back to where I was. I would not care if when I hit resume while I was in town it would know where to go.

Just a simple pause button, as if you were to use Thread.Sleep(until I say so!);

This was one of the ideas that I was going to put in my plugin, months ago... but I didn't find any direct way to control DB's thread. The only API available didn't seem to matter what I did, it would continue on; unless I used MainBot.Stop(); (or whatever the method is).

I would love to have this, as a feature, as it is something that I could really use; either in developing or just from time to time to stop the bot to check progress. It's hella annoying to have to restart the bot, from scratch with 5 stacks of valor, just to check the stash.

I would love a pause button. Sometimes I want to take a look around my bags, or possibly check my DB settings, or something of the sort. Hard to explain what I need but I do realize that I need a pause button and I have only had DB for a day.

I'd also love a pause button, for Honorbuddy.

A pause button would be helpful for the times that the bot ignored items dropped but you want to pick up the items. A pause button is also helpful for profile development.

A pause button will be included in next release of Trinity - probably due tonight. It will add a pause button to the main DemonBuddy window, next to the start/stop button. You will need to put the bot back where it was, before unpausing it, after you pause it.

Excellent, this means one can pause it, clear a dungeon from time to time, tp back out and resume the game.
Would it be possible to have an alert show up on the desktop once a dungeon is close ? I'm guessing no, but I'm no coder :D
By 'putting back where it was', which distance do you mean approximately ?
