Yes, i have been trying to make some AV meshes for the past 2 hours, and they have failed miserably and not even left the beggining area, so can someone who knows HOW post their experience and what they did to create the mesh??

This way we can get rid of all of my/ others posts about the same AV mesh, and we can create our own.

Thank you, And yes i am aware there is a guide already out, but that is for grinding and is completely different.

thank you.

I also tryed to make a new AV mesh and got it running, but it looked more like a bot than the original so I gave up lol. Yes I think the guide that bossland made works with the PVP but a more detailed guide for pvp might be good. Or they might work the same I am not to sure.

I dont think so because you dont run in circles and make crosses in AV, you go to a point, but its actually quite confusing. I dont think we would need to create a new profile though, that one works fine, but the mesh could be specific to each user so i think it would be good if someone made a contribution to the thread on how they made their pvp guide and how we could make one like that.

I hope someone does :(

i mapped all the paths, the middle extensively; then put hotspots outside each base and outside each outpost all on a private server at around x50 speed didn't take too long.

Im just finishing testing on the private server and ill release to see how it goes on live too.

Oh you make yours on a private server, i do myne like actually in live lol.

Please if yours works well post all the things you did, i appreciate it.

This is what i have so far; just used the default .xml as a base added the ignore mobs from the other thread and changed the hotspots.

Gonna test it on live now, ill post the files now but have no guaranties until i can run it for a while ;)

if it works, please post EVERYTHING you did to map, i tried running to the north then ran to the graveyards so it would know what to do but it screwed up and didnt leave the cave.. :(

Step 1: Enter BG.
Step 2: Die.
Step 3: Think of the paths you want to run. No silly corners or swimming. Choose nice safe paths you know a bot can run.
Step 4: Start recording as ghost. Run the the BG paths.
Step 5: save your mesh and celebrate your success.

..............Really?......It's that easy.....I was running around as a person not dead....wow I feel reallly stupid lol. One questions tho, do I have to run back to the start as a ghost and then record from there, or just start from the graveyard I am in?

Wow i actually never thought of dieing,

So when i map it, myne just stayed in the cave but it ran to the gate, Do i have to map to every grave yard, or is one just good??

Edit,

I am planning this for AV, Which should be pretty good, you start off in the cave, so do i have to map it from there, then kill myself??

Well first i used a local private server; Infinium 3.2.2 repack or something (im not too sure on the rules regarding linking stuff like this but if you want help pm me). Using this you have more options, to start with i used the fly tool to just get an overview of the map.

To get the profile set-up, i copied the existing av.xml to a new folder and made a text document inside and renamed it av.mesh. Then i loaded the .xml profile so i knew it was mapping the av.mesh that i wanted.

Then i went to the alliance start area mapped the tunnel once carefully going through the middle of the tunnel.

I like to map in sections and after each section i save the mesh; i also prefer to only run each section once if it requires more carefully manoeuvring, so for example i will run to a graveyard from the road stop mapping save it and then return to road and then continue mapping to my next point.

Similarly because i already know where I want to place my hotspots when i get there i make sure i add it to my xml while mapping to make sure it is mapped.

Lastly i ran to the horde start area, loaded the .xml as a level profile and then ran it at x200 speed just to check for stuck issues quickly. i also drooped the bot in random areas using the fly tool to see how it would respond; i mapped under the bridge for example in case it got stuck.

Exactly how does the mapping work? I am starting off in the horde cave, so here is hwat i should do?

1. Create a new av.mesh
2. Move/rename the old one
3. join AV, in the cave hit start mapping, and then run to where i want??

So if i get off track, will it run back to the path or will it just stay there???

I used erenion's eProfileCreator, I am just not sure were to place hotspots, any tips? (I made this to go into the frostwolf keep if that helps).

So when mapping do i need to start at cave or is the default set to run to base first

All you have to do is of the following:
*Load AV Mesh
*Load eProfileCreator
*Hit "Start Mapping"
*Run to wherever you want (NO JUMPING OR PLACES THAT YOU WILL GET STUCK), hit "Add Hotspot" on the eProfileCreator
*Copy and paste the "Hotspots" to the AV.xml

Done.
