I know people who report other botters are selfish pricks. They're concerned only for their own profits.
However, when they report others, won't the GMs investigate the person who reported, too? Isn't there the chance that the GM might ask questions about why the person filed a report? What if that person is botting when the GM asks the questions?
Also, you're allowing the GMs to study bot behavior. Many of these backstabbers are reporting other people using the same bots as them. You're only contributing to Blizzard's knowledge of bots which might just lead to a banwave.
So when you report other botters, aren't you putting yourself that risk? If you're concerned for your own profits, you should not be reporting other botters.
