Reporting Other Botters

I know people who report other botters are selfish pricks. They're concerned only for their own profits.

However, when they report others, won't the GMs investigate the person who reported, too? Isn't there the chance that the GM might ask questions about why the person filed a report? What if that person is botting when the GM asks the questions?

Also, you're allowing the GMs to study bot behavior. Many of these backstabbers are reporting other people using the same bots as them. You're only contributing to Blizzard's knowledge of bots which might just lead to a banwave.

So when you report other botters, aren't you putting yourself that risk? If you're concerned for your own profits, you should not be reporting other botters.

No, not at all...you can report everyone and their momma and they will not look at your activities. Also, I believe some bot-backstabbers think that reporting other bots makes them less likely to look at their own behavior.

I said in another thread, there were bots and botters in another game I played where they actually started reporting legit players. This caused the GMs to be flooded with fake tickets and making it hard for them to pinpoint who the real botters were. Sometimes legit players were getting banned.

if i were the GM that received the ticket. i would wont to know how they were boting what did they do to lead you to that conclusion that they were boting. how are you fillar with boting. if they didn't reply to my questions or i wasn't satisfied with there reply i would look into them as well.

The point being don't be a dic* dont be a hypocrite. respect your fellow boter there plenty of ways to get baned with out some one stabing you in the back.

IMO this could be a possibility, as per someone mentioning earlier one, someone whispered someone stating reported for using "X profile" now in my eyes, the GM's probably would check contact between the reporter and reported and thats just an obvious "im also a bot"

Congratulations for being able to recognize a rhetorical question.

However, only some of the questions were rhetorical. I do not know how Blizzard actually works. Maybe, someone else has more experience than me in dealing with them.

Yeah I'm talking to my self when some moron is quoting me and congratulating me in a forum and more than likely is mad because I pointed out he's asking himself rhetorical questions that can only be concurred with because a lot of people do not know what length GM's go to for investigating or what Warden is fully capable of..
