Reported another bot user because he pissed me off

Greetings,

Gatherbuddy have the option to NOT ninja nods. Some people allow their bots to ninja nods. One of them did, and it resulted in a ticket to a GM.

Here is the story:

Needed a bunch of Elementium. Logged into my farmer. Took portal to Uldum, started HB and chosen Gatherbuddy2, loaded profile. Start the bot. I never allow my bot to ninja nods so I won't gain unnecessary attention.

I noticed that I had high latency. game is lagging bit. No big deal. I tend to monitor my bot for a while before I go afk to make sure it runs smoothly.

Whenever my toon land on a nod. I think due to latency it take a few seconds before he starts mining. in the meantime someone lands, harvest the nod then flies away. I noticed that it mounts and flies like HB does. I think, well that one is gone, big deal.

I then noticed that the other guy is following the exact same path I do. Figured out that he uses the same profile. But I noticed that he didn't have 310% so I was faster and able to reach the nod faster than he does. But due to latency my toon lags a bit when reaching nods. So this guy comes and ninja my nod.

This kept on going for a while. So I decided to stop the bot and start it later. After about 4 hours I log in and start the bot. After a while he is there and is still stealing my nods. I still have latency.

Pissed off I decided to report him. I whispered him several times and threatened him that I will report him as using a bot if he doesn't reply. He didn't reply since he is obviously afk. So I opened a ticket. Reported him. Then logged out.

I will wait a few days before I will use my bot again.

Moral of the story: Make sure your bot will NOT ninja nods. Because there are people like me who are willing to eliminate competition by any means, and will do that with a big smile.
 
moral of the story : botters reporting other botters is stupid. congrats.
 
this is very stupid in my opinion, you're both c heating, and you can't get pissed if he's c heating differently. So, let's say i bot the the same server of yours and i spot you and decide to report you just to have less competition on "my" nodes, would it sound fair to you?

Next time i suggest you to simply reverse your path, so you'll not have to face such a problem anymore.

This is against our forum rules and is pretty stupid on your part btw because your account will be investigated as well.
 
Theres 57 places to farm so you could of easily moved. 2nd you should be banned and key should be made invalid because thats as low as you ca get.
 
Yes we are both c heating. But haven't you heard about honor among thieves. He was stealing the nods I am standing on. imo he got it coming

He should have wacked him like real honor among thieves.
 
I think OP gets unbanned from forum only to say how he's reported another botter & then gets banned again. Bai goblinbj! Hope you're not on my server!
 
I think what others have suggested would have been best - reverse the order of your nodes (hmmm... thinking I should make sure I create a Rev of my routes)... but to report him only brings unneeded attention to your account along with his.
 
I am in favor of reporting others who screw the economy and bring unnecessary attention to all of us (and i have been forum temp-banned for saying this), but, reporting for ninja nodes? Thats kind going too far aint it?
 
moral of the story: 1: you're a F'ing loser for reporting... there not just your nodes.. hate people like you that think all nodes are just yours.
2: you're dumb for telling this in a bot forum..
 
Just a caution to those of you that want to flame the OP... the TOS of this forum specify no offensive or rude language. Although I've noticed that 'cussing' here isn't considered rude or offensive most of the time, when it's actually targetted towards a member, it has been enforced by temp forum bans... so, my suggestion would be, disagree with the OP if that's your desire, but don't actually throw gas on him and light it up. ;)

To be honest 90% players that never used bot would report you even if you were farming by yourself when you steal people's nodes.
That's just asking yourself for a ban.
