This is actually the first time I've been banned for botting in over four years.Account Name: WOW4
Account Action: 72 Hour Suspension
Reason for Action: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Unauthorized Cheat Programs ("Hacks")
It happen after running GatherBuddy2 for about three hours on a custom profile.
I've always been a heavy multiboxer with my accounts, and I thought I may be able to use that in defense. So, I opened a ticket to Blizzard with this:
I was multiboxing late last night on my druids when one of the accounts was disconnected.
I tried logging back in but it kept saying my information was incorrect, so I tried resetting my password. After I reset my password I tried logging back in and it said my account was banned?
I've not recieved an email regarding any information as to what had happened, and from what I've read multiboxing IS NOT against the terms and agreements or against any of the rules. I require a proper explanation of exactly what happened, or at least SOME sort of email detailing what exactly is going on.
Of course at the time of 'disconnection' I was actually botting, and not multiboxing.
And of course when submitting the ticket I was acting as if I had no idea what happen while trying to pretend that I believed that it was multiboxing that caused the ban.
Shortly after submitting my ticket, they responded with this:
(a lot of generic 'Blizzard response' text was removed for your convenience)Greetings,
Thank you for contacting us concerning the recent action taken against the World of Warcraft account WoW4. While we understand your concerns regarding the status of this account, we take matters involving the integrity of the game environment very seriously.
Due to a second thorough review of the circumstances involved in this account action, we have made the decision to modify the previously communicated penalty.
If the previously issued action resulted in the closure of this account, the account has been reopened and access restored. Should any action be required in order to regain access to this account, an additional email will be sent from an @blizzard.com or @battle.net email address with further instructions. If no additional correspondence is received, you should be able to access this account using the password that was valid before the account closure.
Thank you for your continued correspondence in regards to your account and for respecting our position.
Regards,

I continued (at this point) to inforce the fact that they had made a mistake. So I responded with this:
A new representative responded with more 'lightly' text.Thank you for lifting the ban, but I'm still a bit confused as to exactly what happen?
I've been experiencing a TON of server-side issues with my account, some being:
"Character Not Found"
or
Getting mail that contains 23948257139 gold from an Unknown Sender.
I've had the GMs look into this stuff, and they have admitted that it's a server-side problem.
I just hope this isn't what's causing all this confusion with my account.
I try to play safe as much as possible, and I love multiboxing, but I don't want multiboxing to be the end of my account. I've put a lot of work into it and would never risk it. After all, getting 33 level 90s isn't a overnight project! xD
I just hope this doesn't put a strike on my account, I don't want my account to be in bad-standing because of a mistake.
Thanks for taking the time to read this!
Greetings,
Thank you for your patience on the wait. I am going to do everything I can to resolve your issue, even though we didn't get an opportunity to speak.
There should not be a strike on the account. Please be careful when out there with multi-boxing. ;D Please let us know if you have any concerns or questions
It's been my personal goal and my pleasure to make sure that you feel like the valued customer you truly are, so I do hope that this info helped you out.I appreciate you taking the time to read my response even if we did not have the chance to talk one on one.
