NOTICE TO MY USERS: I stopped playing WoW in somewhere in 5.1. I've just returned to the game as of 5.4. I am currently reassessing my projects and will try to update everything as soon as I figure out where I'm at and what's still valid in 5.4.

CURRENT STATUS: On Hold. May I suggest Brodie's Profile Compendium which has a completed Cloud Serpent Profile already?

Originated by Liferose, adopted by me, this profile is to cover the Order of the Cloud Serpent Reputation. Currently it is only dailies. Support for the non-dailies will be added later. For specific quest status see below. A PreQuests profile is available but has not been thoroughly tested. Feedback is welcome!

Need To Know

• Bot determines location and quest status at start. It will fly to the Arboretum from anywhere in Pandaria
• Download custom behaviors Fishing.cs and FishingCount.cs and place them in your Quest Behaviors directory. Credits to Corny and his underlying credits.
• Due to a bug with PerformTradeskillOn.cs the bot will not execute any cooking steps at this time.
• Trainer's Challenge survivability is CC dependent

You flatter me, sir. Keep in mind I just barely adopted it. I think its a good profile (what I've used of it anyway. I'm kinda late to the Cloud Serpent party). I've really only added one new quest and fixed a couple bugs so far. The rest of the greatness belongs to Liferose. The original author is quite skilled and I had great luck using what she had in place before she went MIA. There's still a lot to be completed and polished. So please...POST whatever you find!

EDIT: Found something odd

My final supported quest was Snack Time. After it fished up the 10 Golden Carp, the bot kept randomizing the fishing location and flying to the determined location, repeatedly. I stopped the bot since the final 2 quests were A Feast for the Senses and Fragments of the Past. I'm not sure if it was doing this since it had no more quests to do although they were in the log, or if this is a problem with the profile/bot itself.

Also, as a suggestion. Maybe when the bot determines that you only have A Feast for the Senses, you can call a prompt to say "Start fishingbot in a pool in the Arboretum until you have enough to make 5 Fish Cakes". You can also do something similar for Fragments of the Past with a prompt that says "Start ArchaeologyBuddy to finish this quest". Just set them to the lowest priority no matter what quests are in the daily log.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll make a note. I am not as comfortable with all the interdependencies of the Cloud Serpent set like I was with Tillers when I started them so I have some learning curve ahead of me. This is the kind of thing that helps me a lot. As a side note, I'll be slow on the First Aid and archy quests since none of my toons are maxed in those profs yet. BORING! And why burn cloth when its so valuable! But now I have a good reason.

OK, you have me confused. The quest Snack Time does have spot randomization but it fishes up 10 Sugar Minnows, not Golden Carp. If you have 10 minnows it should just go turn them in.

Feast for the Senses fishes up 10 Golden Carp and then has to cook them. The original profile by Liferose did have a bug that caused that randomization to loop but its been removed in the update on my SVN. It cannot, however, cook the fish due to a bug in the QB which I hope to get fixed soon.

Are you sure you have the copy from my SVN and if so, can you please post a log?

Honestly, it was from the zip. I haven't installed tortoise on my work computer yet. I'll try it again though.

It got the 10 fish, then just kept looping the random fishing spot. I'll try the updated one tomorrow.

The zip is the old profile and not under my control. I'll double check Snack Time and if you continue to have problems after updating from the SVN please post a log so I can figure it out.

Got Tortoise installed and updated the SVN. I'll let you know how it turns out once the servers go back up. It'll be the first script I run today.

Is there anything I can do to help you with the other quests becoming supported? I don't know how to write profiles or anything, but I'd like to help you in any way I can!

I appreciate the offer and I'll let you know. Its so early in my work with it I don't know what I don't know yet! It will take me a few days of running the profile with a dev's eye to see where I'm really at.

OK so the profile worked for Madcap Mayhem, Sprite Fright, The Easiest Way to a Serpent's Heart, and Snack Time. It fished up the Minnows, then started going for the Golden Carp, but looped the random fishing spot again. What I noticed, however, was that I wasn't using the latest version of Honor Buddy. I must've opened the wrong one as I never delete older versions just in case. I switched to the newest version, and it began fishing for the Golden Carp. After I had 10 in my inventory, it created a campfire, and then looped a 2 second wait timer. I noticed that it just kept looping, so I forced the cooking of Fish Cakes myself. Once 5 were created, the bot took over again and handed in the completed quest. I've attached both logs for you, and I'll be sure to use the latest version for tomorrow.

Also, is there any way to equip the fishing pole in your bags? I have my Kaluak stick, but it instead uses a basic fishing pole. I don't really know where it's getting that from.

Basically what you've reported is exactly how it should have worked. The profile is currently unable to cook. The PerformTradeskillOn quest behavior is broken and I've yet to find a fix or workaround. After you lit the fire you should also have gotten a message telling you this and telling you to cook the fish yourself. I usually write my msg boxes to expire and move on if you're not paying attention to the bot but that means no completion of the quest at all. I'll look at that loop and think about options.

The quest behavior FishingCount.cs determines what pole you use. Since 5.0.4 fishing changed to not require an actual pole. If you cast the Fishing spell you whip out this unwhittled twig and twine. According to the support text for the behavior it will use a rod and lure only if necessary to boost your skill otherwise twig it is. I'll play with some options and see if I can trick it into using the rod regardless but as long as it gets the job done that's what really matters.

How does one get those coords? I play Alliance.

Same issue with the fishing loop again today. I exited the bot, and restarted it. It worked once again. Maybe try to have it run the carp collection quest first, do another quest, then go back for the other fish? I did notice, however, that the Siftworm in the area dropped the Bag of Poop, so you don't need to actually collect the ones off the ground (if that's giving you coding trouble).

Hello, i love using your profile and i used to use this one before you took over. When using yours i was receiving an error but managed to fix it by restarting several times. I have the fishingcount.cs file in the quest behavior.
Figured you might want to see just in case
