ok first of all i want to say that this is not for me =p

moreover, a friend of mine is really in love with wow and his mother has bought a program that limit his internet access.

its name is " EZ INTERNET TIMER"

is there any way to crack it?
ctrl alt delete is blocked by program,
i go to services panel but stop button is freeze too.
tried to open in safe mode, the program start automatically with even safe mode.

last but not least, his mother also made a different account on the pc for him, as guest, and his mother has the ADMIN acc. i tried to remove it from his pc with other programs but always asks for admin pass etc.

anyway i can remove it? as guest? with a program or whatever?

thanks in advance,
arty

Start Windows in Safe mode. There you will be able to kill it. Then go to startup, and remove it from the startup list.

as i mensioned, it automatically starts EVEN IN SAFE MODE. and blocks the task manager even in there.

btw i am running windows vista home.

If you have a Vista installation DVD (not a recovery DVD) you can boot the system with it. Select the default language, then choose "Repair your computer". Then select "Command Prompt". At the command prompt type:

net user administrator /active:yes
net user [insert your administrative user account's name here] [insert new user password like 1234 here]

[Note: Do not type the brackets!]

Now you will be able to log into your administrative user account using the password you set; i.e., 1234. If you don't have a Vista installation DVD you can either make a bootable Vista Repair DVD from the file at this link:

Change the admin password :)
Doubt his mum will even notice

http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/

Rename the exe and any of the dll so it appears to just of broken, sticking a full stop on the end works rather well

Last edited:
get a bootcd (hiren's boot cd works perfect :) )
from there, make a new admin account, and log in on windows with that account, remove the program --> issues solved :)

Block the program with firewall?

ok few of suggestions not work. for example it wont let me open msconfig ,it asks for admin pass, but i will try the bootcd etc and leave a feedback.

thanks for all suggestions

DO NOT change the admin password, then she would know (duh)

Best thing to do is download Ophcrack Live CD http://ophcrack.sourceforge.net/ and just crack the password (It works really well.. almost to well.) Use the password to login to the admin account, THEN disable the service for the program/rename a dll to disable it from functioning etc...

Hope she doesn't figure out that Blizzard has a parental control tool built in to their software though.. :x

Hey, I know this thread is old, but I'll post the solution I came up with just in case some more people encuntering trouble with the same software stumble upon this thread. So what I noticed is that there is actually a small time window from the point the PC starts, to when the "EZ INTERNET TIMER" is fully operational. What I did is I opened the task manager with cntrl-alt-tab rigt as the pc starts, and if you go to the processes tab (I thik it's calles "processes", my pc is in spanish so I'm not sure about the english names) you can actually snipe the process that is opening it as it opens. It is a small time window, but it can be done. Another tip, you can see which the process is because on the "user name" column (again, not sure what the english name is, but its gotta be something like that) it doesn't say "user" like the rest. Don't remember exactly what it was, and I had to do it only once, cause once you hit it, you are then free to uninstall everything, since the only reason why you couldn't uninstall it before was because it was running, and of course you couldn't close it without the password. Ok, thats it, bye.

Burn to a cd a program called "OphCr---ack" (remove --- the word was blocked :/) it will brute force the admin password, so he can be admin.
