Regarding auto bans and being lifted straight away

So

I started botting 24 hours ago

Today i got a 72 hour ban

Since i was feeling brave, i contacted blizzard by form telling me whats the reason for the ban, they didnt want to tell me, but now has lifted the ban.

Looking at the banwave forum, it seems many are exp the same thing

Anyone know why?

Seems people get auto banned, then after talking, its lifted.

They probably increeased the sensitivity of auto-ban scripts, as a response to increase in botting in general and legit-player complaints.

As some botters will simply stop botting after doing that, and others won't even appeal, others will get too scared and bot less... that is an affective way to reduce bots, or put them under control.

As it is all automated and they simply do not have GMs enough to keep checking stuff (that would be too expensive to blizzard), they simply lift the bans even sending a unicorn draw at the appeal...

I got banned for "economy exploiting", mailed them straight away and after one hour I got an answer "it seems your account has been compromised, balh blah blah click here and reset your password" and the ban was lifted. Wooooot?
