I have seen 72 hour suspensions popping up here and there and the people are saying they have never sold gold and have used basic leveling profiles.

I haven't had one of these yet, but while botting, I frequently check in and talk on guild chat about various things they are talking about. I have been botting close to 24 hours a day using various botting methods such as AB/IB/GB/Quest/Grind.

I am not for sure, and this is just my opinion, but I think Blizzard has a way of detecting the last time you spoke. Like on irc, there's bots where you can type !seen Impala, and it will reply Impala last spoke 2 hours and 24 minutes ago. I don't believe they actually know what you say, but I do believe they know the last time you spoke.

I think people who quest should check in and participate in some sort of chatting.

Questions, thoughts, misc? Post a reply.

I agree to a point. If you look at the WoW site and check out your toon.. ALOT is logged even for public view.. if you think about it.. there's tons more probably on teh back end they track (after all its database driven and well ya)

Part of the increase in 72hr... is more people are reporting them... they've always been out there, but some people who are hesitant to post them are paranoid that blizz is watching and when you post what realm you were on, when it happened blah blah blah.. they feel blizzard watches and says "hey here they are.. BAN!!!" so they don't report it.

But yes.. stepping in on your bot now and then, chatting up a storm while you bot is never a bad thing, infact its great. people will know your human, if they msg you and you don't respond cause you stepped away, just make t clear in guild chat and such you often hide your whisper/chat window when playing because you don't like to be disturbed. Others sometimes say they do it also so your good.

But I will sya this DO NOT use the new phone app to talk in GUild chat while botting LOL Not that its even possible as I haven't tried it yet.. but botting from one comp and sending chat from a phone.. ya.. NOT gonna look good :P (but like is aid.. not sure if its even possible, alot of features on that app can not be done while your logged in).

I don't make excuses of why I didn't respond unless they ask me directly, hey why didn't you respond to my pm? Then I always respond with, busy in instance didn't have time. Or busy with quest and was fighting tons of mobs. Etc..

same here... but once in awhile when you get pm's from a few of the guild members without any response.. a general response to the guild is usually better. specially when its followed up by some general chit chat

Hmm i dont know .I have soloed alot never talking to a soul but my jack daniels by hand.Of cours i wasnt playing 24/7 so i will look into this .

Also my kid plays and i have it were she talks to nobody ever .So once again idk

I'm inclined to agree with Impala. I've been botting a *lot* lately, gathering and leveling, on multiple accounts. There may be nothing to it but I think the one thing that saves me is that 1) the accounts I am using are several years old, one going back to about 3 months after launch 2) my toons are in a very active, well established guild and I make an effort to at least pop into guild chat pretty frequently and 3) I actually hand play on my accounts as well, running instances, raiding, doing tradeskills, etc.

Anonu: in agreement 100% i am in the same situation with my primary accounts. If the account appears human they treat it as such, but as time goes on.. a pattern can be established and thats when the hammer comes knocking. But doing things like you've stated help deter that away.

I'm in a 900 man guild, so no one ever messages me directly, or at least very infrequently

your lucky... my main is nearly 1000 and i get them all the time LOL when there's 50 or so active members and they all wanna run heroic's and raids... its hard not to go unnoticed

But the benefits of that high end guild is nice :) the BoA's (soon to be battle.net oA's) well ya :)

Same. I'm actually an officer in a 900+ person guild. But people have learned that I "don't always pay attn to guild chat and that I frequently go afk"
