Recent ban appeal.

People should never be worried to try and get an account back, I have been perm banned a few times over the year and always had it lifted, even last month my US friend was playing on EU with me, his account was in his name but at my house address, he got banned for this abuse of the economy bullshit, best thing to do it phone them, don't do this webform crap, Just say that you have been away for a few days and you came back today and can't log in. Most of the time the representative will have no idea about the ban because it is issued by a GM, usually before you can hint anymore that your account has been "hacked" the representative will say "sounds like your account has been compremized" just go along with it, they will sometimes have to open a ticket on your behalf for a GM to look into it, at which point they will request photo ID, the thing is my US friend didnt have photo ID with my address on it, so I just scanned my driving license and changed the name in paint, and they accepted it, which makes me believe they dont really pay much attention in these cases. It is always worth a try but in times like this its always better to lie about being hacked rather then confess to botting.

like i said, it wasn't my account but a friend who lives in US, just sharing the experience and encouraging people not to be worried when appealing since the phone reps just seem not to give a shit

they seem to accept most excuses however unrealistic, one time i got banned for botting I just said I sold an old computer at a car boot sale which had my wow info and a photocopy of my passport on it, they just unbanned and made a note to not accept passport ID issued before a specific date
