FFXIV Patches
Rebornbuddy is broken and doesn't work, what do I do now?
Simple, you wait until the devs have looked at the patch and have updated Rb. If there is any reason that there will be extended downtime then mastahg will post and let us know.
Everytime (well almost) FFXIV is updated aka patched; rebornbuddy has to be updated to work!!
What is the usual update turn around ?
Usually it’s a few hours, but as mentioned above if it’s somewhat extended then mastahg will let us know. There is no need to post 101 posts by multiple users on the forum, requesting an update to Rb.
When an update has been pushed, simply load up Rb as mentioned below and a self-updater will execute.
Getting Banned
The old question, will I be banned, won't I be banned?!
Simple, if you don't want to risk a ban then simple, don't bot. If you are going to bot then be smart, don't tell people you bot, don't be online all day every day for stupid hours on end, don't run the same profile over and over.
Lost Subscription Days
Some users buy keys for a month, 3 days etc.
But what happens when Rb doesn't work because it needs to be updated, and your losing days?
You can email [email protected] which will log a "ticket" instantly so that a mod/dev can credit where and when needed the lost days.
Pre-Req's for Rebornbuddy
What are Pre-Req's ?
Pre-Req's is something that needs to be done first, in this case you need to ensure that you have the correct Microsoft updates and additional software installed before Rb can function and work fully and correctly.
These are:

· Download Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) from Official Microsoft Download Center

Updating Rebornbuddy
Rb will auto update when a new release is pushed. If you however find some errors/Rb to not work correctly after an auto update, then it is advised you download and make a fresh/clean install of Rb.
Follow the links above to get a fresh/clean version to install.
Getting Started
Load FFXIV and select the class which you will be using with Rb.
Anytime you change to a different class than which you started Rb with you will need to close Rb and restart it.
Once you have chosen the class you wish to play start Rb
Insert your key. First time use only. Otherwise it will be saved for you on future startups
Combat Routine Selection
What is this?
This is what will allow Rb to fight for you, on first run you will be asked which routine to use.
First you will need to install Magitek which can be found Here
Follow the instructions for installation
Select "Magitek" the one that does not include the word Kupo, Kupo is currently just a base for development for combat routines. It does work, just not as good as Magitek right now
RebornBuddy Main Console
Once you are at the RebornBuddy main console you will need to choose what you want the bot to do by selecting the dropdown box in the upper right
Rebornbuddy Crashing/Error
If for any reason you get a crash, not responding etc then please SEARCH first. The amount of info already on these forums covers the majority of all issues that users come across. Search is here. Or use the search function at the top right.
If search fails you, then close down FFXIV and Rb and retry.
If that fails then please get a fresh Rb install. Do not install (plugins + routines) until you are able to run the bot without them.
Once you have the bot where it can run then reinstall your (plugins + routines) one at a time to rule out that one of them caused the crash.
It is always best to install in a NEW folder to avoid any potential problems in your current Rb folder that might be causing an issue.
Many cases it's a single file under settings which has corrupted.
If this fails then your next step is to contact support. Which can be found; Here
Please add as much detail as possible and most of all please attach a log, which can be found; Here. This is for Honorbuddy but same info applies to Rebornbuddy
Attaching a log allows the devs and support to see the following:
Rebornbuddy version
Plugin versions
Routine versions
Rebornbuddy startup, warning and error messages
Plugin startup and error messages
Bot For Set Length Of Time
Is this possible?
Simply use the Log out timer which can be found: Here
This is not a relogger. Simply a log out after so many hours/mins.
Using Profiles
Profiles are what allow Rb to do what we want it to do. Farm mat's, Grind, and eventually quest.
These are created by the community and are therefore advised that all support and requests are posted within the profiles forum/thread.
Simply download any profile you wish to use from: Here
I like to create a folder within Rb called "Profiles" and store all my profiles in there.
How do I know which are the best to use?
Usually the ones with the most views, rated highest and have the newest posts tend to be the best.
To load your new profile, simply login to Rb, choose what you want the bot to do from the drop down, press "Load Profile" and browse to said profile. Once loaded, press Start and you’re good to go.
One thing to note is, that some profiles require you to be at a certain X,Y coordinates within a Zone, Please make sure you read the profiles thread fully to ensure the profile will work correctly for you.
If using Orderbot there are some profiles being developed now that will teleport you directly to the closest Aetheryte and run you directly to the X,Y coordinates.
Using Plugins
You get to plugins by selecting the Plugins tab at the upper left of your screen on the Rebornbuddy main console which will bring up
You will need to check the box next to the plugin you wish to activate.
Once you activate the plugin #1, some plugins have a box where you can select additional details for the plugin #2, which brings up #3. In the above image.

All downloaded plugins need to be installed in the Plugins folder inside of your Rebornbuddy folder.
In order to use plugins you will need to select the Plugins button at the upper left of your Rebornbuddy console. Then check the plugins you wish to have active.
FateBot
Runs fates for you based in the current zone you are in.
To get to FateBotSettings select Fate Bot in the drop down, then select Bot Settings the above window will appear
The “Fates in current zone” will show any fates currently available for completion, This can be any of the 3 fate types listed in the right hand box.
If there is a fate you don’t like or can’t complete simply click on it in “Fates in current zone” box and choose Add. It will be moved over to the Blacklisted Fate box.
I personally click on the Enabled button under Level Requirements. This allows me to set up Fatebot for each character I have based on their level.
Be sure to enter your Min and Max Level of the fates you wish to complete. This has to be changed each time a different class is loaded.
I also move the slider bar for Engage Boss Fate based on when I wish to join that Fate. If you have at zero you may be the only one trying to kill a boss fate.
I like to get there early so I have my bar set pretty low. This also gives me time if I am on the other side of the zone to get there before the fate is over.
Some people like to set this around the 50% mark which usually gives you enough time to get there and get enough hits in to get full credit for the fate. It all up to your play style.
This Fate Only was recently added to allow you to select just one fate you may want to do.
A good plugin for Fate Bot is Fate Hunter by Wheredidigo Here . This will move you around different zones based upon your current level.

Yes, you will need to choose Combat Assist in the drop down.
