I've ran into a few Posts, that i have not seen for a very long time that someone has recently logged. However as of late. I feel that we are Part of A hitler Board, instead of a Forum Board on Honorbuddy, you are not able to use the forum as originally intended without certain moderators shutting it down. There are ways to make Postings override old postings such as this, so there are no duplicates.
So in the end this is what Forum is: a place, meeting, or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged. So anything Honorbuddy Related Should be allowed to be spoken of, and if moderators have an actual issue on keeping track, of what topics are what and whats new for them to respond to, they should have an autotracker for admins on the site. Or atleast make it more professional.
Thanks for listening,
A friendly Consumer

Actions behind the curtain, so to speak, have always riled people on both sides of the HB forums. Some of these topics are just red herrings for other discussions, attempts to shame / outrage, trying to talk around a banned topic/subject, etc. the usual petty things. you missed a lot of drama when the HB banwaves came along the first time and they decided to remove arena from HB, sort of defeating the named purpose of the bot, sic. Drama, ensued.

Certainly, there could be a greater effort in promoting a Taboo list or unofficial BuddyFAQ of topics that are deemed Politically Insensitive to discuss on the forums, or just a list of deleted threads / users to know what's off limits. But, that's what most moderators are for, to be inscrutable censors in their sense of the greater good.

you are not able to use the forum as originally intended without certain moderators shutting it down.

Certainly, doubtlessly there could be better ways to moderate or approach 'dangerous' topics without locking threads or dismissing problems that recur because the problems are so endemic for older patrons that they've dismissed them offhand entirely, while new users are left as outsiders to some arcane drama that they have no hope of following along with.

I wouldn't say it's a "hitler board" per se, because nothing goes over a german's head like a hitler reference in quite the way you intend it to.

As for open-moderation, it's arguable. It's relatively laissez faire, until you hit one of those "hot button" topics or it annoys a moderator, and then the thread will be locked and/or deleted. the forums aren't a democracy or a totalitarian regime, at least those are pliable. it's more of a hegemony.

This thread has a high probability of being locked pretty quickly if there's no intended topic to discuss though.

Let's be very, very clear here...

You have absolutely no rights on this board. Your opinion on the moderation of these boards means absolutely nothing. If you think you are entitled to free speech, you aren't, no matter how relevant to HB you think your conversation is.

This is a forum owned by a company that has all rights and all authority when it comes to the moderation of the information here. If they don't like a discussion on glitter, they can close the topic simply because they don't like glitter...Even if glitter is your favorite thing in the world. And you know what recourse you have? Absolutely none.

The arguable topic was actually towards having a more Reliable base source for other topics. Instead of "This was already talked about. This is now closed." With no pliable sense on where to find it of its older then a week old. In which case most if its not tagged to the front board, are dismissed or looked over, or are waaaay to far back to even look at. So i was looking for personable opinions that may help the moderators understand what they actually do when they close Questionable Posts. Is that if something is already said on a post. Make a way so we can see where exactly to read it. And no i'm not meaning about when is the bot up when is it down. Its the other small things. Most sites don't back date on Open public, past a weeks time, With out diving into it more with a moderator.

If you're having a problem locating information on these forums, you simply don't know how to search on the internet...And no, the HB search function is definitely not the best way to search for data on these forums:

1. Go to google
2. Type in Honorbuddy Forums
3. After typing in Honorbuddy Forums, type what you're actually searching for. (ie. honorbuddy forums forum rules)

Try doing that above example search in the HB search function, then try it in google...Guess which one will give you much better results.

You're much more likely to actually find useful information on google than any bulletin board's search function. The algorithms on these boards are nowhere near as capable as google is at finding relevant information.

Wonderful News, You are Forum Policing, Just fine thank you. I was looking for opinions of stature. Not your Bigotry. Bet if I fired Bad names towards you, you'd read everyone and fire back with something that was pompous. Re-Read my posts, instead of Being a Single minded person. Thank you. Its called out of box thinking.

Bigotry...what a strange choice of words, especially when the sentence before you say that my opinion has no stature...

I'm not policing anything here. I read your posts..I also clearly explained to you that the reason because you can't find information is not the fault of these forums, nor any fault of the moderators, it's your own fault for not being able to find the information you're looking for.

Go ahead and please....PLEASE...fire some bad names at me. Let's see how far that gets you in remaining a member of these forums.

^This^.

Hi, Bluefoxx417,

The forums are managed by the forum rules, and the forum rules alone. If you cannot abide them, then simply don't participate here.

These are international forums. The forum rules are constructed to address concerns from all the countries we expect to participate in them. Many people make the mistake of viewing the forum rules in the context of their own country's laws, and don't think about the bigger international picture. For instance, your reference to 'Hitler' is highly offensive in most countries, and is borderline illegal in a few. But, you obviously consider such things 'okay'.

Bossland GmbH, not you, determine the purpose of the forum, and how it should be moderated.

The kind of whining in the original post is not a botting forum topic. In fact, the intent appears to be nothing more than to sow discord because you don't agree with a moderator's decision. This is called 'trolling'.

So...
pointless trolling thread closed. (Better judgement would probably delete it.)

Do NOT open another on the topic, or similar. If you've problems with the moderation, how to report an issue is defined in the forum rules. But you wouldn't know this, since you obviously haven't read them.

cheers,
chinajade
