Well i ma new myself but i decided it would be helpful to create a guide that would let all the new people know how to install and setup BuddyWing aka BW properly.
all of the solutions i Will be posting in here i took from other Threads. Please Feel Free to ask me to add more solutions to this Thread.
#1 Problem:
I keep getting an Unhandled Exception window, with the following words in the box:
Unhandled Exception: The type initialzer for 'Buddy.CommonBot.BotMain' threw an exception.. Check log for full info.
Solution:
theres something going on with your .net install thats not allowing the bot to run properly.
download and install these and restart one moretime, see if it makes a diffrence.
Download: Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (Web Installer) - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details
Download: Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details
#2 Problem:
My game is slower when i Run Buddy Wing or My CPU is Spiking.
Solution:
I have to assign my Processes in the task manager. After launching swtor, I filter by Memory(higher at the top) in the processes tab. I set the affinity for the first swtor.exe and check the boxes CPU 0 -CPU 3 leave CPU 4 - CPU 7 unchecked. Then for the 2nd swtor.exe in the processes tab, to the opposite. So this is what it should look like so far:
swtor.exe (1)
(CHECKED) (UNCHECKED)
CPU 0-------CPU 4
CPU 1-------CPU 5
CPU 2-------CPU 6
CPU 3-------CPU 7
swtor.exe (2)
(UNCHECKED) (CHECKED)
CPU 0----------CPU 4
CPU 1----------CPU 5
CPU 2----------CPU 6
CPU 3----------CPU 7
Once I've logged into the game with my character, I will launch buddywing. Once launched, I once more go into the processes tab and change the affinity for the buddywing.exe
buddywing.exe
(UNCHECKED) (CHECKED)
CPU 0----------CPU 4
CPU 1----------CPU 5
CPU 2----------CPU 6
CPU 3----------CPU 7
#3 Problem:
My bot is not healing after battles
Solution:
Per the healing, this would be an issue with your combat routine. If you aren't already, I recommend using Joe's or WingIt for this (more information can be found in their forum threads). The functionality of classes and specs varies for each, but many of them work well right out of the box.
Exrea Info:
Joe's Fights
Install Notes:
Installation/Update - because of notes regarding the complexity prior, I've simplified it into one .zip file.
1. Zip-Up your drive:\buddywing\routines\DefaultCombat folder. So, you have a backup, just-in-case.
2. Delete folder noted in (1). IF YOU DO NOT PERFORM THIS STEP, THERE WILL BE CONFLICTS, AND ERRORS WILL RESULT.
3. Unzip the attached .zip into the drive:\buddywing\routines folder.
WingIt All In One
Install Notes:
For WingIt, just drop it into your Routines folder, next to DefaultCombat. Not all of the class/spec combos work, though, and this could be one. For my spec, I actually edited some of the code in WingIt/Routines/Advanced to remove an ability which was causing some trouble. Feel free to tinker and troubleshoot, as the original author no longer updates the routines.
#4 Problem:
How do i Make my Own Profiles?
Solution:
This is a quick and dirty guide to writing a profile in Buddywing
#5 Problem:
New SWTOR Client patch? or Update
or You keep getting Unhandled exception during init: System.Exception: This version of Buddy Wing does not support this build of SWTOR!
Solution:
Wait for the buddywing update.
-Don't know if your version is up to date?
- Compare your build to the build on the bot download page: Home
