Well i ma new myself but i decided it would be helpful to create a guide that would let all the new people know how to install and setup BuddyWing aka BW properly.

all of the solutions i Will be posting in here i took from other Threads. Please Feel Free to ask me to add more solutions to this Thread.

#1 Problem:

I keep getting an Unhandled Exception window, with the following words in the box:
Unhandled Exception: The type initialzer for 'Buddy.CommonBot.BotMain' threw an exception.. Check log for full info.

Solution:

theres something going on with your .net install thats not allowing the bot to run properly.
download and install these and restart one moretime, see if it makes a diffrence.
Download: Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (Web Installer) - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details
Download: Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details

#2 Problem:

My game is slower when i Run Buddy Wing or My CPU is Spiking.

Solution:

I have to assign my Processes in the task manager. After launching swtor, I filter by Memory(higher at the top) in the processes tab. I set the affinity for the first swtor.exe and check the boxes CPU 0 -CPU 3 leave CPU 4 - CPU 7 unchecked. Then for the 2nd swtor.exe in the processes tab, to the opposite. So this is what it should look like so far:

swtor.exe (1)
(CHECKED) (UNCHECKED)
CPU 0-------CPU 4
CPU 1-------CPU 5
CPU 2-------CPU 6
CPU 3-------CPU 7

swtor.exe (2)
(UNCHECKED) (CHECKED)
CPU 0----------CPU 4
CPU 1----------CPU 5
CPU 2----------CPU 6
CPU 3----------CPU 7

Once I've logged into the game with my character, I will launch buddywing. Once launched, I once more go into the processes tab and change the affinity for the buddywing.exe

buddywing.exe
(UNCHECKED) (CHECKED)
CPU 0----------CPU 4
CPU 1----------CPU 5
CPU 2----------CPU 6
CPU 3----------CPU 7

#3 Problem:

My bot is not healing after battles

Solution:

Per the healing, this would be an issue with your combat routine. If you aren't already, I recommend using Joe's or WingIt for this (more information can be found in their forum threads). The functionality of classes and specs varies for each, but many of them work well right out of the box.

Exrea Info:

Joe's Fights

Install Notes:

Installation/Update - because of notes regarding the complexity prior, I've simplified it into one .zip file.

1. Zip-Up your drive:\buddywing\routines\DefaultCombat folder. So, you have a backup, just-in-case.

2. Delete folder noted in (1). IF YOU DO NOT PERFORM THIS STEP, THERE WILL BE CONFLICTS, AND ERRORS WILL RESULT.

3. Unzip the attached .zip into the drive:\buddywing\routines folder.

WingIt All In One

Install Notes:

For WingIt, just drop it into your Routines folder, next to DefaultCombat. Not all of the class/spec combos work, though, and this could be one. For my spec, I actually edited some of the code in WingIt/Routines/Advanced to remove an ability which was causing some trouble. Feel free to tinker and troubleshoot, as the original author no longer updates the routines.

#4 Problem:

How do i Make my Own Profiles?

Solution:

This is a quick and dirty guide to writing a profile in Buddywing

#5 Problem:

New SWTOR Client patch? or Update

or You keep getting Unhandled exception during init: System.Exception: This version of Buddy Wing does not support this build of SWTOR!

Solution:

Wait for the buddywing update.
-Don't know if your version is up to date?
- Compare your build to the build on the bot download page: Home

Another way to know if swtor client has been patched and your buddywing is out of date. Log onto buddywing and if it gives you this error in your logs:

Unhandled exception during init: System.Exception: This version of Buddy Wing does not support this build of SWTOR!

Thank you for your addition Sammyjenkins

Can someone please Sticky this...

I cannot thank you enough for this guide. Particularly the Affinity settings. It is the single greatest thing i've ever read since being a buddy member. Which is since the guys began. I stumbled upon someone saying setting affinity fixed lag, searched it and got this. Amazeballs. Thankyou so very much.

Another fast way to fix lag issues is open task manager and grant admin at bottom of task manager. Next step to to Processes tab and right click on Swtor.exe. Go to priority and set to high or real time. This will instantly fix lag issues.

Not working. Tried it, also tried installing the 4.5 full installation stand alone. Still not working.

Any hints?

If you have a problem, create a new Thread with a logfile...
This thread is old and covers some problems but not all...

Any ways to deal with keeping a grinding bot running after your character dies? Is this dependant upon what routine you are running? I've been using unpure for grinding as of late and it seems to work fine, but if you die, it won't res.

What about repairing gear?

In the grindprofile there needs to be a vendor in order to use it.
If it isnt in, it doesnt know where to go, so it just keeps grinding...

Per unpure, do you have any settings altered so that it doesnt res?
Check your chars buddywingsettings.

</CharacterSettings>

Those are my bwing settings.

I don't see any settings in unpure that could prevent ressing. I'll try walters and see if that changes anything.

What happends if you start the bot and hit F12 twice, does respawn still dont work?
I would ask in the pure routine thread about your issue.

I just tested this with a brand new level 1 Jedi Consular and it works. I used DefaultRoutine that is shipped with lates BW and the GitHub routine. They both work. Are you sure you are using the latest routine?
I don't even see this file "Routines\DefaultCombat\SpecHandler.cs" that is causing you an error in my folder

hi, my Buddywing simply doesn´t load combat routines/profiles, I svn pure routines, replacedi it with Nexis routines, and stuff, it is the latest version, so I need help fixing it.

Do you have the plugin buddymonitor still in the plugin folder?
Delete compiled assemblies and try again.

If it still doesn't work, you may have made an error with pure.
Also gameclient on English?
