Randyrun.com - horrible customer service

I ordered 7 cd keys from randyrun.com today, paid with paypal. Guaranteed delivery within 1 hour by email. After waiting 4 hours without so much as a word, I decided to contact their online customer service.

I got connected to an extremely rude and arrogant customer service guy named Firman who told me stuff like "u're not the only client here" and "have some patience okay". He then told me that my order was canceled cause "ordering 7 keys at the same time is definetly suspicious and cant be for personal use".

I then asked for a refund, and he said it would not arrive for another 2 days, cause only the "finance department" could handle refunds, and they were unavailable.

In the end it turns out you may only buy 2 cd keys per month (even though it doesnt say anywhere on their pages), otherwise you get accused for fraud.

Bullshit company.
 
Not that I need any CD keys, but good to know they are not so professional :)

Wow, thanks for the heads-up. That is pretty rediculous, its a business isnt it? Dont they want to make money?

Btw, I recomend Offgamers. Not that I advert that or something, I've ordered alot from there and I get my cd keys instant.
 
I'm still looking for a place to buy CD Keys by trading in my gold.... I have zero spare cash right now but ~50k gold. I would sell it then buy a CD key but i only have the one farming account, and no vanilla account. really would like to start up another farming account but i dont want to risk banning my only one in the process :(
 
I wouldn't recommend gamecodes4you.com either. Paid with Paypal. Same instant e-mail delivery guarantee but it never came. Paypal was postponing the payment because gamecodes4you's Paypal has no money in it in case of a refund (which is suspicious in itself).

So I canceled the order but they still charged me on my Paypal. Their customer support is nonexistent and fake, too.
 
Well im ordering since ~2002 from Randyrun and never had any problems.

I got the same problem when i ordered 5 Cd Keys myself but after i talked to the Chat guy he said its okay.

Just tell him that youre a starting Multiboxer. :-)

I did that, but he couldnt care less.

Whats funny is I asked if there was a gold buying limit from their site per month, and he said that it was unlimited, while cd keys worth $9 each was restricted to two per month. So they are afraid that they will be scammed from chargebacks on paypal when selling cd keys, but not when selling gold.

Nice risk management in that company.

I remember the uproar that came when Athene promoted randy run. I prefer to just buy my keys off members on mmobay. Its fast, cheap, and easy, just how I like it. ;)
 
Have used randy before and the service varies alot.
Bought some gold when i was in a pinch and it was delivered within minutes.
When i tried to order 6x(to be fair, 3x vanilla, 3x tbc pluss some gametime cards - this was during tbc) they started pestering me about authenticity of my purchase and demanded all kinds of ridiculous confirmation that i was actually the owner of the credit card(which i was). After confirming me as the owner by drivers license+apartment certificate(i mean wtf...) they simply discarded the order giving me the reason that they "doubted it was for personal use".

I concluded that they were too "legitimate" for their own good. Won't be purchasing multiple keys from them again. I have however purchased single accounts(vanilla + tbc + wotlk keys) without problem.
 
I think it's funny that they've made themselves the authority on whether something is 'legit' or not. It's really none of their business in the first place, they can either sell you the keys and make their money, or limit their own profit off their own distorted morality.

Definitely staying away from these clowns forever. Glad I use offgamers.

I've bought 10 times that or so from offgamers and they deliver Instantly. not within 5 minutes =p

And they're "slightly" cheaper :D
 
offgamers all the way. just bought another 5 wotlk keys few min ago. arrived instantly. Never ever had any problem what so ever and have spent over $1000 on keys there.
 
This is an old topic but, he is totally wrong randyrun.com delivers in 15-60 min

I bought hell many of it.
Great support great people.
Don't complain for 4 hours.
Just send a mail and then they are explaining why it isn't is ready yet they react in 10-15 min!
