Raiding (Normal Play) & Botting.

I was just curious on how many players actually have a spare account that they bot with (generally don't care if it gets banned) while they play a 2nd account as a main. I'm debating currently doing that myself but I'm a bit concerned that even though the primary account has never been botted on, running the 2nd instance of WoW on the same PC - botting - would flag my primary account just as it would the botting one. (If that made any sense). Anyone else run with a setup like this by chance without getting banned?
 
I currently bot on another account and play legit my main, at the moment I have not been banned yet.
 
i have 3 accounts set up, bot on 2 and play on one as main account, end of last year year i had my warlock banned and my main account was untouched. All 3 were running off one comp.

Promising to hear, can I ask what happened to your 2nd botted account? Also, how do I know for certain on which account that honorbuddy is attaching to - I certainly don't want to accidently attach to my main account only to have that flagged later on.

I appreciate all the excellent feedback so far guys, seems like right now it's okay to do. More opinions would be lovely.
 
I have had my main acct 6.5 yrs.....and run 4-6 bots on the same pc but not on the main acct.

Have you ever had one of your botting accounts banned? - and how do you tell honorbuddy to attach to one specific client of WoW (the botting account)?
 
when you load Honorbuddy you choose a char for it to load onto. My 2nd account is still going and ive got another account up and running again so back at 2 bots.

You get a rolldown-list for which char you want to attach to
 
I see. I'm just in a bit of hesitation right now because I really don't care for my main account (which I've spent quite a bit of time on) getting flagged for a ban later on. What I'm ultimately thinking of doing is botting a couple of 85's up and account transfering them to my main account (same information). That way, if my botting account is flagged later on (obviously unbeknown to me), i'd at least get a couple of 85's out of the deal later on.
 
Anyone else have some input as to if they feel it's safe to have a main account playing legitamitly on a PC with a botting account running in the background?
 
I always bot on my main at least if it gets banned then I'll have a reason to quit.

I wonder how long your account stays flagged for a ban later on.
 
I have two bots that I run on my laptop next to my desktop that I play my main on. Mainly cause I do not like leaving them afk, but have every know and then. I have never botted on my desktop, just because I am a paranoid botter. Want to have a clean main. On my laptop I use the neighbor's wireless (different IP). So I doubt that my main would ever be touched, but if it does no big deal. It would give me a reason to go play some Rift. LOL!
