Quick question about banning battle.net accounts wide?

So, I have my personal account, that I'd do anything to try and avoid getting it banned. With that being said, I'm going to contradict myself and say I used to bot on it all the time, leveling, BG's etc.

Anyways, I'm going to start up a fresh new botting account, BUT I was going to start it under the same battle.net account as my main. So, I thought I read something like if my new fresh botting account got caught, that my ENTIRE Battle.net would be banned as well? Even if I wasn't botting on my main account. Can anyone elaborate on this? Is it true? Or would my main account be just fine?

every single ban is unique. two people can do the exact same thing with different results.

that being said. usually they will need some evidence of nefarious activity before banning you. this means if you have any interaction between the two accounts then you risk a ban. mail a gold piece, send a boa, group up for a quest, be in the same guild, names similar, stand next the same tree out in the world. well, maybe a few of those are stretching it, but you get the point.

The negatives outweigh the positives.
