Any way to stop DB from disabling "Quick join" when it makes games? I'm almost certain that it has to do with the way DB creates their games, not using any of the settings set in the client. If I go into settings, while in a DB made game, and accept the settings already set there "Quick join" because available for my friends right away.

Judging from the profile layouts I've seen so far there only seems to be support for toggling public/private games, however quick join/play has nothing to do with those, so is there a way to change any of the settings DB uses when creating games?

i dont think that something like that can be done

is this possible when you are playing manually?

tbh i have never tried it

Yes, normally when you make a game and have quick play enabled in game settings everyone on your friend-list will be able to join your private games without asking for invite. I assume the reason that DB-made games don't play by in-game settings has to do with the way it creates the games. F.x. if I normally run MP10 and bot does MP8 runs the in-game MP setup will always show MP10 and never change it to MP8 (although the game run by the bot surely is MP8). This leads me to believe that DB creates games without using or interfered with in-game settings. So I figure that DB devs need to answer this one, since I doubt the functionality of this function is openly changeable. I might be wrong though.

if its something that a normal player can do,like a game option we cant change it as well

When DB creates a new game it does not use the in-game settings regarding private/public and monster power. This fact does seem to contradict what you just say, does it not? I'm certainly no expert on the subject but it would seem that DB defines the options of the game by itself rather than use the in-game settings. Do any of the developers check this forum section?

again, what are you describing/requesting can be done when you manually play D3?

forget DB for a while

D3 has an option within the game called Quick Join (under social) which enables people on your friend list to join without requiring invites (or confirmation from you).

and there is an option to disable it in D3 settings?

thats what i am asking and never got an aswer

Yes, you can disable it within the game. Since I said it was an option it was kinda implied that it was toggle-able, but I suppose it was too unclear.

the only option i cansee is about private game

i cant see another option on my D3 settings at least

so if something is not provided as a game feature DB wont support it since it would be a hack or something

Not sure what happened, the attachment worked when I posted it. But yeah, additional options in the social tab.

I wanted to echo this as well.

In Option -> Social -> Additional options there is a check box for Enable: Quick Join.

This allows your friends to join your game with the little pop-up on the lobby screen.

When Demonbuddy starts a new game, even though the check box is enabled, this option is actually disabled. You have to go into the options within Diablo and toggle the Enable: Quick Join on the bot and then someone else can join the bot's games. When starting a game without demonbuddy present this option will remain enabled and you don't have to correct anything, so it has to do directly with how demonbuddy starts a game.

If you have a really geared bot running a high xp run, it can be nice to leach with a non-botted toon. Right now you have to either toggle this option on every new game manually, or have the bot invite you.

i will check it again
I realize that you're probably doing everything you can but would be nice with some developer feedback in regards to this. Even if its "bad" news. Obviously I hope it is a "simple" change that could get into an upcoming build down the road but since I'm not a programmer I haven't got the slightest idea as to the magnitude of what I'm asking for.

Would it be possible to get some dev feedback regarding the likelihood of this being picked up?

from Nesox

That's one of the CreateGame params,EnablequickJoin
If you set it to 1 it forces it on so i've left it at 0,there's no option for it

<GameParams quest="57337" step="41" act="A2" difficulty="Inferno" EnablequickJoin="1" resumeFromSave="False" isPrivate="True" numGames="-1" />

Did I misinterpret the way this is supposed to work, or? It doesn't seem to be working. Tried with True also.
