Hi Guys,

Quick question. A few months back my small guild of bots 4/5 were perma-banned, with the guild master (only a banker) being suspended for 6 months.

What is the likelihood that blizz would've cleaned out the gbank as well as banning those accounts? Need to prepare for Legion and if the responses indicate that my gbank would indeed be cleaned out Ill need to start again soon!

Regards,

SRH

Cant say for sure, however I can say blizzard has certainly cleared out guild banks before if they believe the gold/items in the guild bank have been acquired by users breaking the TOS.

Is it common ?? NO because its time consuming for blizzard to confirm 100% of the gold or times in the guild bank came from X,Y accounts.

However in a situation like yours where all the members of the guild where banned.. and there had been no other members in the guild then a guild wipe is possible..

Its why its good to have a few random pugs in your guild, with guild repairs turned on to keep there there.. If there a randoms they will unlikely touch the guild bank..

However you do risk if your not smart that said user could end up being the GM if you loose complete accesss on all accounts..

Its why you allways need to have one account.. that has zero connection with your bots... No gold xfer nothing.

Thanks Camel. The GM of the guild is perma-banned, however an officer of the guild with withdrawal allowances is on my main account (which was hit with a 6month suspension). My guess that was purely where they connected the dots and worked out the guild bank was sustaining my main raiding toon which does not use any HB software. Lesson learned.

If anyone else has experience with this situation im looking for any feedback good or bad :)

Camel, would they wipe gold AND items in the gbank? I had a number of top tier TCG items in there also.

5 years of botting
1000 accounts

ONE guild ban (out of around maybe 100 guilds) (Guild was deleted)
ONE Domain ban (every account associated with said email address-domain was banned)
Rest player reports and automatic filter bans.

So, what I'm trying to say is that 99.99% of the botters out there will never see this happen.

Thanks for your response Macatho, puts me at ease. I think my guild may have been domain banned, all of the accounts associated the the bot guild that were on the same battle.net, all were perma-banned with no previous warnings of any kind. One futile attempt to overturn the bans with a ticket was deleted without any response lol.

Well, I had a friend in my guild as officer and when he tried to take over my 2 gbanks the GM logged into my banned account and withdrew the 2 gold caps that were bunkered there. Dunno if that makes me one of the 0,01%, but the gold was not even connected to botting but only for sellruns. I mean, botting doesnt generate high amounts of gold anyways.

Really - I've bottled over 100million gold.. Easy the only other way that trumps it is selling raid and pvp runs

My gold wiped always after suspension so i am 100 % sure if y banned for abuse economy or third party software that all god will be wiped

I am also a part of Macatho's exclusive 0.01% percent, lol. But I had sold quite a few millions before that happened.

They deleted all gold from all the guild banks, and banned everyone involved. Including "clean" accounts, completely unrelated, like camel advised. They are a good practice though, might save you many times.

They took it as far as to permaban my beloved main account (absolutely unbotted) because it had 2 or 3 low level alts on the botting guilds , with officer rank. It was intended as a safeconduct to the gold in the case of a big ban.

It didn't work as intended. RIP.

In your case, if I understood correctly, the guild master was a bank account that was handled a 6 month ban, but it did not even bot....chances that your bank's gonna be empty are extremely high in my book.

Let us know!

Just because it happened that way in the past, it doesn't mean that Blizz hasn't changed their minds and will wipe guilds from the 6-month banwave,

Blizz has never been static in their ways. It's almost guaranteed that they will handle situations differently from year to year and xpac to xpac.

thanks for all the responses guys, theres no way of knowing until Sep 1 when the suspension expires!

Came back from first HB Banwave, all my gold on all chars across all servers was 0. However, i had many guilds, 2 of which were gold capped. One had over 800 members (people i just had my bots invite randomly), and the other only had my one bank toon. And in that bank toons vault was around 380 Swift Springstriders that I had farmed, and when i cam back from the 6 month ban both guilds were fine.

So I would say you're in the clear like what Macatho has been saying.

Once again, this means absolutely nothing. Just because they haven't deleted guilds in the past, it doesn't mean they won't change their mind and start removing items and gold from gbanks.

BLIZZ IS NOT, NOR HAVE THEY EVER BEEN, STATIC IN THEIR WAYS.
