Hello,

did I understood right?

In HB-directory there as the file ProtectedItems.xml. So when I make the following entry:

<Item Name="Armyknife" Entry="40772" /> the toon should not put it in the guild vault when make the bags empty, right?

The Name is just for human and is ignored by PC - also right? I also tried it with the right name.

For any reason it dont work. What am I doing wrong?
thanx a lot,
cheers,

make sure it's not in your forcemail

and try this...

PHP:
<Item Name="Gnomish Army Knife" Id="40772" />

The Gnomish Army Knife is in the default Protected Items.xml that ships with Honorbuddy. If yours is getting mailed, then there is something very very wrong in your setup. Are you trying to use Protected Items with Gatherbuddy? If so,t hat is a completely different mechanism than Protected Items.

Everything you want to know about ForceMail and Protected Items is here...

If Gatherbuddy, this FAQ applies...

Hello,

thanx all for your nice support.

Its NOT getting mailed. As I wrote I put all in my guild vault automatic. So its put in the guildvault. But when he return to the spot to go on mining its very difficult without tools ^^

So 2 Questions:
1. Is the protected items only for mailing?
2. Do the name matter if I set them or is the name field ignored by pc and just for me?

thanx,
cheers,

1. ForceMail.xml is used for mailing. Protected Items.xml prevents the item from being sold to a vendor.
2. The name does not matter. It is used for logging. 'goal text', and other such purposes when needed.

There is no equivalent for preventing items being placed in the guild vault. We need to find out why this is happening to you and nobody else. I haven't used GB2 a lot, so someone more knowledgeable can provide enlightenment.

The one suggestion I have is to place the item in your backpack and not in another bag. This may prevent it from being put in the guild vault, but not sure.

cheers,

Hello Chinajade,
thanx for your answer. I always have my protected items in 1st bag. So this one you have from startup the game.

But dont matter. Lots of things happens to me with PCs that happened to no one other. Must be a kind of aura or so :-)))

i keep trying,
cheers,
