question about xfering toon with gold

Im gonna sell my friend about 50k gold and was wondering if it is safe to xfer a toon with the gold to his server from my botting account or would it be better to xfer a lvl 10 from an account i got for $5 from the holidays?
Whats the best way to xfer gold cross realm?

Whatever you end up doing, remember there are gold limits when transferring servers (big pain in the ass for me as I just came back to wow after not playing since around 2009 and back then I had glider set up and had a ton of gold still sitting in my guild bank but wanted to make a lv 1 toon and insta-80 it on my friend's server). Unfortunately your character doesn't turn 80 on SoR accounts until after the server transfer!

Just did a quick search:
LEVEL MAX. GOLD
10- 30 300g
31- 50 1,000g
51- 70 5,000g
71- 80 20,000g
81+ 50,000g

I believe that if you transfer a guild, you take all the gold in GB with you, i don't think there is a restriction on that. However a guild transfer is a little more expensive than af toon transfer, cant remember but i think it was about ?50

after google'ing it..... they have added a ?20 'discount' so its only ?30 to transfer a guild (bank)

Keep in mind that there are ways around the gold limit. You can stack your inventory with items that can be auctioned/sold, buy 5k fortune cards from people and then vendor them after transferring, etc.

You're right although easiest is probably checking out if there are any mounts that sell higher on the realm ur going to if the ah is active and just buy some.

Like I said, I hadn't been around for YEARS so it took hours to try and figure out what I should buy to resell on the other server post-transfer. I think I made most my gold back over a period of a couple weeks. Either way, a pain in the butt haha but better than losing out on all the gold.
