Question about Waypoints

Just a simple question about waypoints in D3. Can you still share waypoints with a toon that doesn't have them, by inviting to party? Or have they patched that? I am currently rushing my monk (bought crap gear for 0.7 mil, melting faces so far, end of Act 2) through Inferno to get all waypoints, in the hopes it will serve as a main unbotted account that can teleport other toons to farm points. Can we still do that?

To save a checkpoint you must complete its quest

So it's doable? You invite weak toon to checkpoint, he stands there while you kill whatever and then he has the checkpoint?

You can do that. As a friend to create a party with the WP you want, then join them and get to a checkpoint (so its saved). I rushed all Hell by only defeating last act bosses, so I didn't had to do the entire quests again...
