Question about the lockboxes plugin

I want to change the distance of the lockbox plugin that comes with buddywing so that it will not loot boxes that are farther away then i tell it to, if anyone can help me to change the distance I would much appreciate it.

The lockbox plugin doesn't deal with finding the lockboxes, only in opening the ones in your inventory. I believe (anyone can feel free to correct me) the actual finding and looting is in the core itself. I'm not sure if you can override it.
