Question about loot mobs

If i turn it off will it still loot items that are needed for quests from mobs ?
My bags keep getting filled with shit and i want to stop it

It depends on how the profile writer designed the profile.

Cava has two variants--the 'normal' set won't loot other than for quest items, while the "-WL" series loots it all.

Kick's profiles are written to loot all the time.
