Question About How many hours should BOT.

I was wondering since i have seen people saying that 24/7 is not safe. and i understand why.
What i wanna clarify though is... you can't bot 24/7 with the same character or with the same account..? I mean what about if i have 3 different toons and change them every 3-4 hours and farming different things? Or blizzard just monitoring the Account log in time?

and if thats not the case its not safe to bot 24/7 the same area for example mining/herbing? what if i use a toon 24/7 but i change very regularly what it gathers and where..?

Also i wanna clarify the same about AH... There is a "secret" limit that alert Blizzard when u have too many Auctions with one character or that limit is somehow linked to the whole account..?

You still have account activity, you shouldn't bot 24/7, you shouldn't stay in the same zones gathering 16 hrs per day, that will lead to a ban eventually. I only gather with mine, but I buy new once I get banned (so far never been banned on EU, 3 on US). US seem alot stricter.

If there were a secret limit then we wouldn't know it

The people who DO bot 24/7 are most probably gold sellers as the accounts are more of a throw away and get as much gold as you can in the least about of real life time and just sell it for profit.

With regards to you botting over different characters it's impossible to say if its a flag as blizzards detection methods are all kept behind closed doors. I would say they would have some form of history of the account's log in times as they no doubt use that to decide if an account has been compromised or not as well as a log of IP addresses (Again my personal theory); so botting over many toons would still raise eye brows over the volume of time you spent botting in total leading to an investigation if you was ever reported.

My botting scheduled is varied and never kept to a time table as such, I probably accumulate 10-14 hours of botting time per day, some would say it's too much but it's a risk I take by doing that

As for the AH, I list 40 items maximum per day and even then it's never more than 4 stacks of the same item. I know for sure people do check the AH for people listing way over the realistic human limit and call people out on it, I see it in trade chat from time to time.
