Question about HonorBuddy and Blizzard's detection.

Hello,

So im thinking of buying Honorbuddy and setting up a 2nd account to experiment, im just curious to when people refer to Banwaves and how does one get included in that Banwave?

Is the program detectable to Blizz?

first off, now a days when people scream "banwave" they have no REAL clue what that means. just because a blizzard decides to flush out 1000 accounts at the same time does not make it a banwave.

no, honorbuddy isn't detectable.

as long as you dont do stupid things on your account like running for days on end then you wont get reported and wont get banned. its that simple.

I like to think that honorbuddy isn't detectable, but your behavior is...

if you act like a bot (never answer to anyone, do the same thing over and over again, have a strange way to move...), and manage to play 24/7 collecting a massive number of reports you`re going to be banned using honorbuddy or not...

As previously mentioned, doing any one thing for way too long will put your account in danger. However, HB does a lot of things very well and as long as you use it in moderation, things seem to go well. I would highly recommend getting HBRelog and learning how to use it. You can set up different tasks, with different start and stop times. It helps remove the temptation to just let it run non-stop.

By the way, smart move setting up an alternate account to tinker with.

In response to the above, I agree that the bot being detected is less likely and that the behavior is what is being detected. What does HB offer to not LOOK like a bot, especially while questing? If the popular profiles (bought or free) all use the same move paths and exact quest order, it is very easy to notice a bot heatmap on blizzards end... they honestly very likely have HB accounts themselves and can literally just trace it out searching for any toon that did every single quest in order X with no variation...

How are you supposed to work in the variation? By hand? Is there an easy way to change behavior at all?

no, honorbuddy isn't detectable.

a private server such as nostalrius can and will prevent HB players.... yet, u all think Bliz (with more $$$ and resources) can not detect HB. right.

you can do this manually, or with a relogger.

ill explain manually, and you can figure out the relogger

get up in the am, start 3 accounts. account 1 you start dungeonbuddy, account 2 you run questbot, 3rd account you play manually, do lfr, or chat in /2.
noon, you play account 1 through lfr, while account 2 is dungeonbuddy, and account 3 is gatherbuddy.
afternoon, etc, etc you get the idea.

rotate your accounts so that you are playing one manually at all times. you can do this with a single account same method.
