Question about combat routine.

Im' running a pet build with my WD and when he blows his mana pretty quick he will go into melee mode attacking with just his weapon. Instead I want him to try to stay at a distance.

Anyone know were/how to find this in the combat routine? I can't seem to figure out how to make him not attack with only weapon when he has no other option.
