Question About Botting

Do you bot on a character without the crazy characters in it such as ? or ? and so on? I read a post saying that it is a lot safer to bot with one but have you gotten banned on an account without it? I just want to know how long people usually bot for and if they use characters like what was meantioned above within their name.

Another quick question: will botting 2-5 hours a day on a character with alt-# code characters in its name get me banned you think??

they don't make a difference, it just makes it harder to /who you, but they can just /who the zone and your class
 
Most my toons have a few funky letters in the name, and only once have i had any type of speculations i was botting, the report went to my Guild Leader saying i was acting " Odd " or very " Strange " when running a Herbing profile with GB. Blizz has let go of the whole making ya change your name or flagging people with special characters in their names.
 
As general rule, if you get greedy you will be banned faster.

People sometimes get over their heads and bot much more than an unemployed hardcore gamer could lol.

Safe and slow steady income is better than losing all those expansion upgrades. :)

As for the odd characters, it can help if you are from the other faction and the other dude couldnt actually /who.

Nope.
90% of all bans come from detection of warden & resulting banwaves.
Bans because of reports are very, very little.

I don't know where you're getting your information from. It may be true for other bots, but it certainly hasn't been true for the Buddy products.
