First of all, I just started using HB a couple of months ago and I have to say it's breathed new life into my wow experience - Blizzard should frankly thank you HB folks for the number of subscribers it keeps playing. Without HB to play around with and liven things up I wouldn't be subscribing to wow at all. I definitely plan to upgrade to a lifetime membership soon.
Anyway, with that shout out to you guys done, I have a question regarding bans. I've been very cautious about my botting (only botting for 4-6 hours at a time while I'm at home and checking it every couple of hours or so, keeping WIM active so I can reply to anyone who sends me a tell, not flooding the AH with farmed goods, and not botting battlegrounds too heavily), but I plan to be a little more aggressive with HB in the future on another account which means less to me.
When bans happen, do they happen only to the account which was botting, or will they ban all accounts associated with a battle.net master ID? I ask this only because I need to know if I should buy a whole new copy of wow + expansions, or if I'd be safe using a secondary account that's linked to my battle.net ID.
I understand that to have maximum safety I should have a new account, I'm just asking if Blizzard has had a record of banning all accounts under a battle.net ID in the past.
I apologize if this is a topic that gets covered a lot, if it is I wasn't able to find it in a sticky anywhere.
Thanks in advance for your input.
