I am starting research to develop a multipurpose bot. One that can quest and level for you all autonomously. The bot will decide if the character will quest or grind. It will also be able to use other plugins to help facilitate this such as Instancebuddy and other plugins such as ebuy and of course AutoEquip. I have been working on bots since glider came out a while ago but lost interest in WOW all together when it was shut down. Now that i have found another well programmed bot I have decided to start my work back up. I am a full-time student so I don't have as much time as I would like. So I want to get a team of developers together to start this task please pm me if you are interested.
Ideas For Bot
There are a lot of things i would like to add to this bot but for right now these are the main issues. Also, there are many great plugins that can be used in addition to the bot to aid in the questing/leveling process. I have just started looking over the documentation of this bot and im liking what im seeing. If there is anyone with more experience than i have please don't hesitate to give me ideas or pointers and if you would like to help me develop this just reply to this thread or send me a PM.
Ideas For Bot
- The bot should have a setting that makes the bot randomly choose whether or not it wants to quest or grind
- Save Xp per hour in a log file so the bot can go to areas that it has the most success in(if leveling do not add XP from quest only kills)
- Also save the amount of green, blue and purple items it recieves(again if grinding do not add the items received from a quest) in one area so it can choose whether or not it would like to goto an ares based on the best items received
- Log the amount of gold per hour so the bot can go to areas where the most gold(or silver in lower level cases)
- Incorporate the use of Instance buddy if the user desires to have the bot use it while Questing/Leveling
- If the bot is dieing too much leave and go to a different area. Let the user decide the number of deaths to minutes ratio. i.e. if bot dies x amount of times in y minutes change area or leave area for z minutes.
