Purchased WoW account a year ago, I think the owner is trying to recover it?

Alright so I've had this wow account for about a year now, I purchased it from a reputable site and the person I purchased it from had sold 30+ accounts with positive feedback. I logged in to battle.net today to add a gamecard to the account and was greeted with two Support Tickets that said the following:

Greetings,

Thank you for contacting the World of Warcraft Game Master department regarding the password to your account. In order to assist you as quickly and efficiently as possible, please visit our automated Account Password Reset Form here: https://us.battle.net/account/support/password-reset.html

To use this Account Password Reset Form the user must supply the email address, first and last name of the registered owner, and answer one of two verification questions tied to the account. Please be sure to fill in all fields. If you are unable to provide this information or you no longer have access to the registered email, please call our Billing and Account Services department directly for assistance with your account. (Blizzard Support)

Please take a moment to review the World of Warcraft Terms of Use at Blizzard Entertainment: World of Warcraft Terms of Use. Prior to using World of Warcraft, we highly recommend following the Security Checklist - Account Security - Battle.net on our Account Security site at Account Security - Battle.net.

Thank you in advance for your time and understanding.

Best Wishes,
Game Master Gkaezor

I still have access to the account (nothing has been changed and the last ticket was on the 14th, yesterday) I think this may be a hacker attempting to get my account or the owner attempting to recover the account? I'm starting to lean towards it being a hacker since the original owner could have easily filled out the password recovery form since he knows all the information required by it. Anyone else have similar experiences recently?
