Purchased WoW account a year ago, I think the owner is trying to recover it?

Alright so I've had this wow account for about a year now, I purchased it from a reputable site and the person I purchased it from had sold 30+ accounts with positive feedback. I logged in to battle.net today to add a gamecard to the account and was greeted with two Support Tickets that said the following:

I still have access to the account (nothing has been changed and the last ticket was on the 14th, yesterday) I think this may be a hacker attempting to get my account or the owner attempting to recover the account? I'm starting to lean towards it being a hacker since the original owner could have easily filled out the password recovery form since he knows all the information required by it. Anyone else have similar experiences recently?
