A few months ago, I purchased my 2nd account through them. All have been fine and well until earlier this month, The account was recovered by someone. Best part about it, they are an HB user. I purchased account insurance through Playerauctions and they refuse to compensate me. Their reply to my account reclaim is "the seller is not the orignal owner of the game account so it is not possible for him to reclaim it. And if the game account was reclaimed by someone else, we can't give you any compensation though we want to."

What can I do in this case? Do you think I can win a charge back for this? Any help would be appreciated.

Why would you even ask? Of course I would fucking charge back there ass.

"We helped sell you an account that wasn't originally the sellers. He is claiming the original owner must of recalled it because he is a honest and legit guy! We take his work on it and even though you paid us for insurance in case anything were to happen to your account, we are going to ignore it and say, "sorry"!!

If you have to post here and seriously as if you should charge back you are a complete retard.

I didn't ask if I should do a charge back. I asked if I would WIN a chargeback claim for this.

Sounds like a really bad insurense, i bet it was the seller who took the accounts back to sell them again, i think it was his plan from the start, how to they know he isn?t the original owner of the accounts? cos he say so? it might be his mom? :D

I might go there and sell some accounts it the site is ok, seems to be ok for the sellers :D

And this is why buying accounts is stupid.

Costs next to nothing to get a new WoW account with Cata and level up a 85 in no time on it.

Nothing !?!? Wow cd keys cost big time... atleast on EU, like alittle under 100$ for an account. Most times you can buy crap 85's for lower, but the problem is just buying accounts it not safe :S

If PlayerAuctions is saying that he isn't the original owner of the account, then they HAVE to refund you. Their gurantee is that the product is as advertised. Stupid cocksuckers, i'd throw a fit. Call them up and lose your mind on them.

I Love letting companies that try to screw me over know that I am a very good internet marketer... and that they don't want me as a disgruntled customer. I can very easily spread the news on how much they screwed me over in such a way to absolutely effect their bottom line - or they can settle it nice and quiet. Their choice. I don't ask for what I'm not owed... but I let them know that it would be a big mistake not to 'do what is right'. ;) And if they don't... well... they I make sure that others hear about it - very loudly.

Cheaper than being screwed out of an account still...

You should have taken advantage of the cheap keys that Blizzard was promoting up until like December 18th I believe it was. I spent $175 and got 5 sets of complete keys (this was the limit per battle.net account). It cost me $35 per set. Now I have 5 sets of "backup" accounts, ready to go.

The account was $90 when I got it. So it was cheaper at the time to have a geared 85 ready to farm as opposed to me spending $100 + leveling and gearing. I filled out a chargeback with my CCco, and have sent them another email. We will see what happens :)

I also have leveled 5 new accounts to 80 with the RAF in Icecrown that I posted. If I am out, im out, but I do not like losing money.

When it's all said and done, only one thing matters....Caveat emptor (buyer beware). Everyone who has ever played WoW knows that the original owner of an account can at any time recall an account through Blizz. Correct ID and security question answer and the account is yours. If you're a gambler and like taking risk, go purchase a pre-leveled account, you might get to keep it, but odds are you won't. Once or twice a year Blizz puts cd keys on sale. Two weeks ago you could buy vanilla-cata for $35 (I always purchase Xtra accounts from blizz when they go on sale) and then 6-10 days leveling a toon to 85....all using a bot which you obviously already have. Which makes more sense?

You won't win the chargeback, I have a company that does online deals for a different game, and there is no paypal protection at all if you used paypal that is. Internet goods = 0 protection.

Or you can simply buy vanilla, tbc, wotlk and cata for 35k gold :) it costs nothing idd.

Didnt you received an ID of some sort and secret Q/A? or at least ID info of the original owner? I once claimed that i was the original owner on a recalled account and that i cannot access to my emails anymore, they were hacked.
Sent blizz a forged ID. Got the account back. Well i also sent them one of the prepaid code i used on the account. Any form of payment evidence is good in case of a dispute like that.
