Public gathering profiles = instant ban

So I've used public suramar gathering profiles and got 2 of my accounts banned within 14 hours. Next thing I did is create my own profile (no rocket science, a 12 year old can handle that) and my bots have been up and running for 8 days now 16 hr/day. This is especially true if you're using them on high pop servers, where it will form "trains" of foolish botters which is VERY obvious to any player and you'll just end up receiving a lot of reports and manually investigated.

I've been using the public profile for weeks now with no problem. Although I've heard a lot of other people state exactly what you have.

For example, some of my public profiles have over 7000 downloads, but I had to reupload them sometime so it only shows as a couple hundred downloads but its actually much more.
This is why i stopped publishing the profiles i use myself. After I am done using them i am happy to share them, but im running 12 bots atm and thats just unnecessary risk.

Can confirm that during the WOD launch I had bots running 8 hour shifts for 24 hours straight for a few months and no bans, put my profiles up and they got a few hundred downloads to the point of noticing players on my paths the next few times I logged in. After that I changed my profiles and never uploaded them again until I was done with them.

I personally think there should be more advice on making profiles. There should also be an encouraging culture on the forum of people making their own profiles. It would benefit Honorbuddy as a business to see less player-reported bans, and less customer complaints and slander every time people get banned.

People just need to realize that they have absolutely noone to blame but themselves if they get banned.

-It's not HB's fault you got banned.
-It's not the profile's fault you got banned.
-It's not the CR's fault you got banned.
-It is absolutely and completely your own fault when you get banned.

If you want to blame someone if you lose your account, go back and remember that noone ever forced you to start botting...And you should've known that every single time you started up the bot, there was always the possiblity that blizz was going to catch you for breaking their rules.

Your accounts were being investigated well before the bans...
Public gatherbuddy profiles had nothing to do with it, if you noticed a few bots in one area find another profile there
are heaps of them.. ive been botting for over 4 yrs now and not one account has been banned.
Only profile ive paid for is the warrior one from gladiator suite and AH bot.. and still most times i use singular with raid bot.

Wish mods would confirm your Key and ban you if your lying. So many people with brand new accounts posting random crap. I assume you must of missed the last 4 ban waves over the last two years as well.

People who actually want to make a decent forum community around here should consider trying to teach people how to make their own profiles. Get a public profile, open it with notepad/notepad++, look for "<Hotspots>"
removing everything like <Hotspot X="1615.151" Y="4775.281" Z="138.3112" />

Then click Developer Tools in honorbuddy, follow your most efficient path (route) and from time to time click "Generate hotspot", then copy-paste it into hotspots from the logs. Try not to make hotspots too often or too rare, experiment with it a little

They were clean new accounts I even manually leveled them to 110. Hmm wonder why would they get investigated.

time played / nodes mined-herb = 90% of your time farming BAN
time played / instances ran = 90% instance farming BAN

so DH to 110 then full time farming = BAN
level 100 token to 110 then full time farming = BAN

100s more reasons...... all it takes is 1 report to get some one to look at your numbers

they do not need to catch you botting they just need to think it is possable to ban you

real people play, sit afk for hours, run a few instances, maybe farm for a few hours. how much down time do most peoples bots have . None if they are online they are busy. real people do not farm 5000-10000 nodes a week. they do not farm 8hr-24hr a day. they do not run instances 20 of the same one in a row.

if you look at any BAN and got 100% truth / full story . bet it would be easy in most cases to see why

If you report someone for botting, then you know how bot works and running and most likely you do it yourself.
They should add a line "have you reported anyone for botting?: ()Yes - No ()
my friends account got banned and he used same profile as me, but he reported other bots mining and herbing, because he tough they botted stupid.
Wich i havent and i havent been banned, my account is from Vanilla and i have been botting with glider before and Pirox for honor farming and since HB came out with HB, havent got a single temp ban in all that time.
And i have never reported other players, never botted for more then 12h and never used a public profile for more then 3h.

I have dodged alot of waves and probaly lucky, but i think if you report or anything ingame you will be flagged and they will check you out *tin foil hat on*

Botters that report botters make me sick. You know who you are, shy away from mentioning it in passing irl. Never know if the person who over hears you might bot and decide to fix your teeth for you.

Most of your posts on this forum are you bitching at people instead of actually contributing something useful.

And yes, I''ve been digging up old guides on writing basic profiles. Something that most people with any logic should be able to put together. Copy and paste Hotspots and run your custom farming profiles.
