Proxy Servers will get you banned!

Usage of proxy servers know to blizzard as networks where lots of Goldsellers are trafficking through (chinese using european proxies) will get your account banned.

i had a locked out account a few months ago, because of "strange activity" and now i had my accounts perma banned.
i was able to unbann them all!

so if you have to go via a proxy. don't use the cheapest providers! or maybe even ask phone support if this one is ok for blizz

simple reason: circumvent restrictive internet connection at university/work/wherever
my proxy is a socks5 using a ssh tunnel (putty) to a remote server using proxifier on my client to make alle applications use the proxy.

works with most applications out of the box! benefits: it hides my acitivities to my network admin and allows services not possible with the default network config. but ... blizzard bans certain networks/providers because abuse (mostly chinese farmers)... so choose wisely
