when traveling from stop to stop, depending on the distance you could bypass a few pokemon, but currently it will wait till it arrives to go back, sometimes the pokemon will be expired by then depending on the distance, logic to be able to go over and catch that pokemon thats only 20-30 meters away would be useful.
