Project: AFK bot for 3 months

Ok so I'm escaping winter by going to asia for 3 months in januari. I have this account that I'm fully willing to sacrifice, it's a 85 druid with some epics and 525 herb and mining.

The server that it's on is extremely low populated and even at daytime theres almost always nobody leveling or even mining/herbing in uldum or deepholm/hyjal.

I thought it would be fun to try this, I am fully aware that staying away for that long just wont work due to dc:s etc etc. I will bring my ipad with teamviewer on so whenever I've got wi-fi I will be able to check up on the toon and possibly restart it if it dced or whatever.

This has lead me to some problems that needs to be solved and I'd be very happy if you could help me answer some.

1st. What to do with all the stacks of herb/ore? How much can you have in a mailbox? And a system to resend all of my mailbox to another character would also be good. (mails only stay for 30 days).

2nd. Which profile and with what settings and plugins would you recommend? To get as little downtime as possible but without getting stuck etc.

3rd. Right now I just shut of my screen but for saving electricity and noice from fans and shit, how should I configure my computer?

Any ideas or comments are most welcome!

I advise u download the wow armory and u can pay three dollars xtra and get a thing which let's u post auctions, collect mail, etc all from ur iPhone/ipad

Good idea! How many stacks can do you usually get per hour? If it's like 1 thats almost 2200 stacks houston, we have a problem

Indeed, would be great with some updates! Btw if you are worried about your computer shutting down, you can make scripts for it to restart the computer a day, and then use another script to open up the Auto-relogger. Then it should be done! I am running these aswell, but working on the scripts though. As my computer keeps restarting at night. Just wanted to text here, i hope i weren't too late

Edit: You can also make a script when your computer starts up, when it gets to windows it will also open Teamviewer up..

Had the same toughts, dont think youre computer will be up for 3 weeks non stop, so get something that will open ur teamviewer when it logs on the computer, and a script to restart it sometimes, cause if it shots down outside of one of the restarts, ur done

There is so many things to consider.. For example:

1. What if your computer just Freezes ? It can happend even with hardcore computers. Not even a script can fix that
2. What if your house electicy goes down ?
3. What if an electric foose goes ?
4. What kinds of addons to use to prevent bot being stuck ?

And those are only the ones I just came up with, I bet there is tons of more

The way I accomplished exactly what you are planning to do was very simple.

• ARelog - Switching Profiles from Uldum to Mount Hyjal -- Running for 12 Hours, TOPS
• ProfessionBuddy - Write a profile that checks your ZoneId and takes the Boat to Orgrimmar (or whatever city you choose), and Bank / AH, be sure to set it to post
  specific items and a max amount of stacks or you'll get banned for Market Manipulation or whatever the hell it is.
• !PROFIT!

The way I'd do it is farm > sell > farm > battleground > use MrHonorcap to buy gear/justice points > log off for 4-6 hours(sleep) > Repeat.

Hey guys! I have another month before I am leaving and I thought it's time to dedicate some thought to this project. Thanks alot for the tips. I am planning to use the feature in HB to send the gathered stuff to an alt. With that comes two problems, mails only stays in your mailbox for 1 month, so Im going to need something to re-send it. Also mailboxes do get full. Any ideas?

Im going to look more into what profiles/plugins and how I should setup my computer. Any tips are as always most welcome.

The thing that might kill it, is the fact that some ISP's (i think) require you to restart the router after so many days online... This only sometimes happens to be and I have fibre optic which is the best but still I need to restart the router at the modem otherwise it won't work.

Sometimes it will be online for 2-4 weeks before this will happen.

If you have 2 accounts, you could just send the items between them, and sell? or make a new account and buy the BC. Then I think it's self explanatory.
