Hey Im fairly new to botting (been doing it for 4 months) and I feel that the way I am farming gold maybe classed as "nooby". Basically I am skinning for felblights all day and making maybe 17-25k per day (over 10 hours) with the occasional epic drop every now and then.

I am just wondering if anyone has any other methods of getting gold that are yielding more than me :) thanks!

Also I am looking for a profile that will farm the mounts: Invincible and Mimirons Head - I have 8 chars that can do it.

Thanks guys and girls!

If you are making 17-25K from farming felblights "all day" then yes, you might want to change some things up for a couple reasons.

First, since you didn't state how many hours "all day" really is to you I'll assume you mean 24/7. On one of your 25K days that means that if the average AH sell price of felblight is 200G each, and personally on a lot of servers that's a generous number these days, that means you farm an average of 5 felblight per hour. In my experience that's a low number. My skinning toon is a 700+ ilvl worgen hunter who can average 10-15 felblight per hour, but my numbers may be higher than yours due to race, class, ilvl, and profile. If that is the case, then you might want to change things around to improve your numbers.

Secondly, I don't feel it's safe to spend more than a couple hours a day on just one toon in Tanaan, ESPECIALLY is you are just skinning mobs. They are really only a couple of really good places to farm mobs that can be skinned so that being the case I feel like you are exposing yourself as a botter far longer than is safe, but it's up to you what you feel comfortable with. I honestly feel GB2 profiles on a toon that can farm felblight via herb and ore gathering are safer as you're moving around the zone quicker and are less likely to be seen in the same areas all the time.

On another note, I would start experimenting with other profiles in that farm different things in other areas of the game since I feel the felblight market is only going to slow down as we get closer to the next expansion. Felblight is really only useful in regards to gear/weapon up-grades and since many players are finishing the current content everyday and leaving the game out of boredom, and other players are reaching cap and finishing off gearing their toon the need for felblight gets smaller every week. That's why raw gold and vendor everything profiles that net 1-2K GPH are always good to have. They are not market dependent and can produce steady reliable results regardless of what your server's market and economy is.

Thanks for the reply, I am sorry I was meant to state I bot around 8-10 hours a day! I sell mine for 120g each which isnt too bad, would you still recommend I change, have you any profiles that you personally would suggest?
Thanks

Ok, so lets take one of your 25K days and break that down based on the 120g each that you sell your felblight for and the 10 hours you spend farming it. At 120g for each felblight it means you sell roughly 208 felblight to add up to 25K. Now we divide the 208 felblight by 10 to get the average amount of felblight you get per hour based on 10 hours a day. That breaks down to 20.8 which we'll round up to 21 just so we have an even number. 21 felblight an hour equates to 2520GPH.

That's pretty good. If you are getting those kind of results I wouldn't change anything profile wise as we've seen that your profile is dialed in as far as GPH, but always remember it's a market dependent profile. If felblight drops down to an average selling price of 80G each, your profile now has a 1680GPH average. Not horrible, but you see my point.

Everyone has to figure out what risk vs reward situation is right for them. Personally, I've been in the game a long time and have multiple account so I've already got way more gold than I need and can afford to lose an account or two if I get banned for botting for any reason. That being the case I've got two accounts that I run pretty close to 18 hours a day split up over almost 6 different toons. Of those 18 hours I only spent about 6 hours total in Tanaan split across three different toons (1 skinner and 2 herb and ore gatherers). In those six hours I average about 90 felblight total which sell lighting fast on my server for 110G each which totals up to just under 10K gold (9900 if you want exact numbers) per day per account from felblight alone. I'm cool with that as I feel I'm at lesser risk of getting reported for botting by players and other botters.

The other 12 hours I spend on profile that will net 1GPH just in raw gold and vendoring which adds up to 24K gold per day total for both accounts not counting felblight AH sales. If we combine the felblight sales we're at just uner 35K gold per day. I also have over 20 level 100 character that are maxed out with treasure hunters and savengers followers and gem and scribe huts for missions and dailies which basically brings in a thousands of free gold per day as well, but that venture is a whole other time consuming to build process that I won't get into and will likely never do again.

I got a bit off track in all that, but the message I wanted to convey is that if what you are doing works for you, which GPH wise it seems it probably does, and you are comfortable with the risk of being in Tanaan all day then don't change a thing. That's a decision you have to make. Different strokes for different folks and all that stuff. :)
