Profile Making?

So I was wondering how does one exactly learn to make their own profiles and contribute to the community. If this was answered previously, links to such threads would be most helpful. Just wanting to know what I can do to contribute with my free time.

Also open and study the existing profiles using notepad++ or something similar.

QuestTools has a tab on DemonBuddy which includes nice tools to help profile development.
