Profile coords to wow cords (for map drawing)

Just started a side project today and I am wondering if anyone has done any work on comparing profile coordinates to in game coordinates? Doing a profile website to sharpen my Ruby on Rails skills a bit before my next job interview, and I figure having a map of the profile being hosted would be pretty cool.

Any resources that you may have stumbled upon on the matter would help greatly!
