Process Got Out of Sync [Solution]

Alright, so in the past I have had a lot of trouble getting two bots/accounts running at once. I could always run one bot/account in the background of other windows, but once I started a second instance, the bot would start giving the out of sync error (I'm at work and can't see the error directly).

I've only seen a solution to this offered once and it was burried pretty deep, so I thought I'd post it fresh to be found easier. The problem seems to be caused when the WoW instance stops rendering (that is, it becomes a background process). For whatever reason, other programs and such do not cause the WoW instance to stop rendering, but opening another WoW instance will. It turns out that the game doesn't stop rendering as much as the frame rates drop dramatically (to as low as 8 fps). This is a feature set up by Blizzard to allow you to tab out and have processing power for other programs when you are not in the WoW screen.

Bring up the main menu, then go to System. Under the Advanced settings, you'll see two sliders for Max FPS: one for active, one for background. Your background slider will be down to almost nothing. Slide this up to match your active FPS (less may work, but I'm on a higher end rig and just went with the same as active). Do this for both instances of WoW. Should solve the problem. Ran 2 bots/accounts all last night, different levels, different areas, no problems.

One last thought. Change your graphics settings on both to a lower value. Even on a nicer rig, max resolution, max graphics on two instances will bog both down. Lower the graphics quality and you will see a drastic improvement for both bots.
