Problems running in Vista

Hey ive always ran HB/GB on Windows 7 and have never had a problem. This morning I tried to bot on a friends computer who has Vista. I got everything installed just like I would on my home computer and started to get everything going. When I try to start GB it will not pull up the two GB boxes but it shows that its running in the processes and the GB icon appears in the lower right hand corner. I tried everything I know to get GB to pull up but it wont. Also after not being able to get GB going I tried HB everything loaded up fine I was going to do some Archbuddy and a error message came up in red on HB saying programs has frozen or is not in sync injection finished event never fired. Is there a compatibility issue with Vista or does anyone have any idea of whats going on. Ive done everything the same as I would if I were on my home pc.
